"What do you mean by take on the mission."

"You know how im assigned to go after people for example Aaron."

"Yes?" Kawaii Chan replied.

"Wait you-"

"Quiet Zane." Katelyn mumbled.

He immediately shut up and I continued,

"Thats how it is. I will request to take the job on kidnapping Kawaii Chan and use that to lure who ever is behind this. Basically whoever wants Kawaii Chan kidnapped most likely wants her to use it against Zane." They nodded there heads slowly.

"If I am able to kidnap Kawaii Chan they will have to meet me to get her after all I need to get paid. Sadly I'm not sure whether they will be the person we are after they may just be someone who is pretending to be the requester sort of like a scapegoat."

"I understand that but you're putting Kawaii Chan at risk of being actually kidnapped!" Zane yelled in anger.

"I know that but I won't let anyone hurt or take her." I growled.

Everyone turned to look at Kawaii Chan and she sighed.

"If it means we can somehow get Zane off of the list okay..." Kawaii Chan seemed really nervous as she bit down on her lip.

Zane wrapped his arms around her to keep her from worrying. As I took a step to approach her my stomach immediately started to sting. The bullet wound I had gotten started to hurt like hell. I probably didn't even notice it was hurting when I was running out of the building.

"Maybe we should wait till your wounds a bit healed up." Travis pointed out.

I groaned at that and then nodded.

"Give it a few days I need you to watch them for now well I plan this out."

Travis nodded his head and Katelyn guided them into the backroom.

"Aphmau there's something we need to discuss as well." I looked at him confused and he pointed to one of the bar stools.

I walked over and sat down. People had given us some space and he took his phone out from his pocket. Turning it on he did a few things then placed it in front of me.

It was Aarons profile on the list.

I stared at it confused and then Travis sighed,

"Something strange has been going on ever since you met him."

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"The price for his death has be quickly dropping. As in it went from a lot to hardly anything. He's the cheapest on the market now."

"Okay?" I asked confused.

"But ever since that incident when he came to the bar. Our prices have been increasing dramatically."

I took my phone out of my pocket and looked at our profiles. Both Travis and I's were both around 15 billion. My mouth dropped wide open and he nodded his head.

"What the fuck? I havent even killed anyone in a while."

"Neither have I. But somehow they are rising." He replied.

The list was a place where hitman would go to take jobs. Each profile on the list had a reward and all the info needed about them depending on how they were. For example my profile only had a small amount of info since I concealed my identity. Well Kawaii Chans had a lot. The list was also the place I took the job to kill Aaron but I never finished the job and I wasn't sure if I could. It was the place I got all my jobs but for some reason I didn't want to finish off Aaron.

"So what are you suggesting then Travis?" I asked confused.

"I think Aaron has something to do with this."

I blinked a few times and then put a hand on the side of my face.

"Whats your theory?"

"Ever since you started the mission to kill him things had changed not only things but also you. That day when he came to the bar to find you I open fired at him for shooting Katelyn. Ever since that day my price has been going up and so has yours. I understand you may be confused on how it could be him if your own price is raising but there something you may want to check about the job to kill you. I think mine is going up because I pissed him off and tried to kill him. I think hes the one who put the job up."

"Hold up hold up, so you're saying Aaron put me and you on the list. But that would have to mean he put us up there before we ever met."

"I understand that but remember he is a CEO of a big company if he has the power to put profiles up on the list then it means he could've known about you before you met."

I sat there puzzled for a second. What he was suggesting was crazy. I had only met Aaron for the first time when I tried to kill him I would've remembered if I met him somewhere else. Sure I've killed a bunch of people but what reason would he have for putting me up. This is the first time I've ever been involved with him right? Everything was so confusing. There was no way I'd finish my mission to kill him right now I had to focus on getting Zane and Kawaii Chan safe.

"Aph check your profile."

I looked back down at my phone and began to scroll through. When I made it to my profile I clicked on it.

"Now look down at the very bottom."

My eyes moved down to the bottom and once they did I stared in shock.

"Do you see why I think that now?"

The last time I had ever checked my profile. It had dead I was wanted dead. It was said that I was supposed to be killed. But now who ever put the job up wanted me kidnapped and brought without harm...

That meant someone wanted me alive. Could Aaron really be the one behind this...?
