Kuro awoke the next morning and smiled with excitement, quickly getting out of bed. He rushed towards the kitchen, hoping to see his mother but was surprised when no one was there. He looked at the time, raising an eyebrow when he saw that it was late morning.

"It's ten, she should be up," he mumbled to himself, leaving the kitchen and heading towards her bedroom. Reaching the door, he knocked, opening it a second later. Entering the room, he noticed one figure laying under a heap of blankets. When he got closer, he was disappointed seeing that it wasn't you. Instead, Iruka snored quietly, his hair messily spread across his pillow. The blonde boy huffed and shook the adult awake.

Iruka opened his eyes, jolting in fright when he noticed Kuro standing in front of him. His face immediately turned bright red from embarrassment after realizing that his clothes were missing, the only thing covering him was the blanket.

"D-do you need something?" he asked, the concerned-looking boy. He nodded.

"Where's mom?" he asked. Iruka cocked an eyebrow and turned, hoping to see you laying asleep next to him. He was surprised to see you gone, he was always the first to wake up out of the two of you. The brunette straightened up, making sure the blanket covered his lower half.

"I'll get up and then we can see if she left a note or something." The blonde seemed happy with this and left the room to let Iruka give up.

A moment later, the brunette came out dressed in casual clothing, his hair tied back in a messy bun. From there, the two searched the house for any sign of the young woman but were both unsuccessful. Even though they knew that there probably wasn't anything wrong, they worried that something bad had happened. While the two contemplated what to do, a knock at the door echoed through the house.

Their faces lit up as they ran towards it, swinging it open as fast as they could. But both were disappointed when they were greeted with the sight of Kakashi, both Sasuke and Naruto standing in front of him. The silver-haired shinobi couldn't help but feel confused when he was given a look of disappointment.

"Have I done something wrong?" he chuckles. Iruka quickly shakes his head, not wanting to offend his senior.

"No, it's just that we thought it was (Y/n)," he explains, rubbing the back of neck in embarrassment.

"Huh, she's not here?" he asked. Kuro shook his head.

"She's not here, she didn't even leave a note to say she was going somewhere," he worries. Kakashi nods, pushing the blonde and raven-haired boys inside, following them.

"Let's have a look, eh?" he said, kneeling down and calling upon his summon, Pakkun. The pug-looking dog appeared, a Konoha headband tied around the top of his head like a bonnet.

"Something you need, Kakashi?" he asked, the speaking catching Kuro off guard. He had seen your snow leopard summons before and they spoke, but other than that he hadn't come across any others. Kakashi nodded to the small dog.

"Yes, (Y/n) seems to have gone missing? Think you can locate her?" The small dog nodded, sniffing a pair of your shoes to get your scent. Once he had it, he moved past Kuro and Iruka, walking further into the house while sniffing the ground. He paused in the living room, continuing to walk a moment later, stopping at the window.

"Her scent is still here, she left through the window late at night," he informed the group. Naruto and Sasuke had just gotten home, remaining silent in hopes that Kakashi's summon would find her.

"Why would she do that?" Naruto asked. Iruka's lips formed a line as he worried, everyone watching as Pakkun lifted his nose and sniffed the air.

"Hm, I smell something else." All eyes followed him as he sniffed around the coffee table, pausing in front of the couch. He reached under the couch, hooking his paw around something, pulling it out. A poorly rolled scroll was pulled out, having been shoved under the couch. Kakashi was the first to reach it, picking it up and reading it. Iruka approached him, reaching as much as he could from over his shoulder.

"Do you know of someone called Kaito Aoyuri from the frost village?" the masked man asked Kuro. The blonde nodded his head quickly.

"Yeah, he's a shinobi but he mainly focuses on medical ninjutsu. His clan were travelers that collected medical herbs around the world to create medicine but they specialize in sedatives." Sasuke huffed, sitting down.

"Why would a clan that needs medical herbs live somewhere they don't grow?"

"They settled because came up with a jutsu which can shield the plants from the cold, it can also be used as a capture as weapon. Specifically, it was used to capture people from the (L/n) clan because it can fully disable they kekkei genkai. That man is obsessed with her, when we lived there I used to catch him following (Y/n) around. She never really noticed it and when I told her she said that it didn't matter because if something were to happen she would take care of it. We never talked about it again," Kuro continued.

"How do you know he was obsessed?" Iruka asked, to lessen his worry by asking questions that could potentially improve how he felt about the situation.

"When (Y/n) left he came up to me and asked lots of questions about her. He told me that he really likes her and that he hates her parents for what they did to her. At first I thought he was just being genuine but then he started asking me weirder questions. When this started I left not long after with Akira and Daichi so it never escalated further than that." Iruka sighed, taking the scroll from Kakashi to read it in it's entirety. This worried him, he couldn't help but feel like he had been abandoned. He already had low self esteem and felt that he could never meet (Y/n)'s standards.

"Maybe she's gone to be with him," he muttered, loud enough for the others to hear. Kuro grabbed onto Iruka, hugging his waist.

"She wouldn't leave like that unless she knew that there was more for her somewhere else. Now that she has all of us here, as well as more friends and supporters, she won't leave. But I know why she would go to meet him. She's too trusting, especially when it comes to her parents. Even though they've treated her horribly her whole life she still holds hope that they'll come around and love her," he explains. Iruka frowned, feeling guilty that he wasn't able to take care of the woman he loved so dearly. Kakashi cleared his throat, gathering everyone's attention.

"Pakkun and I will do some more investigating, if we find her we'll just come back and it'll be done with. If not, we'll head out with a group tomorrow. If this Kaito guy is as obsessive as Kuro says then I think that (Y/n) is in danger, especially since he has a jutsu that can contain her power." Everyone nodded, watching as the silver-haired jounin left the house with Pakkun.

At this point, everyone looked either dead or upset. Kuro's face displayed his obvious worry, Naruto struggling to cheer his younger brother up. Iruka refused to look anyone in the face, keeping his head down and eyes to the ground. Sasuke remained silent, looking annoyed at the situation he had just walked in on. Of course he was worried for (Y/n), but he didn't like to show it. Wanting to lighten the mood, Iruka looked up at the boys and forced a smile.

"How about I make something to eat? I'm sure (Y/n)'s fine, she can take care of her self and should be back in no time." Even though the boys continued to worry, they still couldn't push away the fact that you could be in danger.

Had time to update so here it is. Hope you enjoyed it even though there wasn't much happening. In the next chapter we'll have a look to see how (Y/n) is doing with her captor, Kaito.
