Hamgye's gym

The volunteers were all wearing a red shirt as they were working together to adorned their school with red flags, balloons and banners. Everything was in the colour blood red which is the official colour for St.Athena. St.Minerva had their blue while yellow is for College of Arts and green is for Hamgye National.

Jisoo was no exception. She had to order thousands of hoodies, t-shirts, sweats for the players and the supporters. "Doing this supposed to be easy. I remember it being so easy." She complained as she was out buying drinks when Yoongi agreed to accompany her.

"Well, nothing is the same this time. More money is being thrown for this and not to mention, I heard the dance for the ending ceremony is extravagant. The coaches are pushing the players tougher this time too. I think my leg is going to fall off after running around the court too much."

"I still don't get why you join these events when you clearly hate it so much," Jisoo told him as she took a sip of her drink. "Well, I don't hate basketball." He shrugged. Jisoo rolled her eyes. "Congratulations, just one of the rare things you don't hate." Yoongi chuckled as he let the cold canned drink hits her skin which made her scream.

"Let's do this for our school !!" Irene cheered as they all split their ways towards their respective ways to start training. "Have you decided to join anything, Taehyung ?" Jungkook draped an arm over Tae's shoulder.

"I'm joining the basketball team with Yoongi." He scratches his nape. "Really? Wow, so many of our friends are joining basketball including Rosie. Hehe, don't forget to cheer for the football team." Jungkook snickered.

They walked towards the field and saw Yoongi and Jennie walking together going to the open field. "Polo is on right now." Jimin ran passed by them.

"Offside Tail !!" A shout was heard coming from the fields. "And this is what rich people play." Lisa suddenly spoke out of nowhere. All of their attention was glued at Jennie who scored the winning goal for them.

"Keep up this work and we will surely win the national district." Their coach shouts as he dismissed them. Jimin enthusiastically waved at Jennie as he shouts "Gurl !! We saw you play and you gotta see us play !!" Jennie chuckle as she nodded.

They all went their separate ways as Lisa went to the indoor pool, while Rosé, Yoongi and Taehyung went to the basketball court. Jungkook and Jimin went to the open field.

                             "How long are you going to play like a fool ?" Lisa looks towards the voice and groans. "What do you mean ?" She dived back into the pool as she continues her laps. "The looks you gave him, isn't that subtle." She emerged back to the surface, staring straight into his eyes.

"If I win this swimming competition, I'll confess. I knew I was playing a losing game anyway when he was already enchanted by her just by the way he looks at her. It has always been like this."

"Well, if you cry I won't be there to give you my shoulders." The man shrugged. Lisa flipped him off, "Who needs you anyway." She continued to do laps for a while until she felt tired. She decided to just stay float around the pool.

"Why do we always have to be rivals, Jennie ?" She sighed as she closed her eyes. The cold shower from tap sunk into her skin, cleaning the damp of sweats covering her.

As she dried her hair with a towel, she looks adjacent to her locker and saw Jennie who also had her shower. "Taehyung." Lisa started. Jennie stopped what she's doing for a second before continuing again.

"Do you love him ?" Lisa asked again. "The word 'love' would be too early for us." An answer from Jennie but it didn't satisfy her. "Does he like you? Or is he using you? Or it was out of pity ?" Lisa slammed her lockers as she turns towards Jennie.

"My relationship with Taehyung is none of your concerned. We're friends but that doesn't mean that you can make assumptions about my relationship." Jennie turned around, her face only a few inches of space left between them.

"I know you like him and I have no power to tell you that you shouldn't like him. But what I have power over is the relationship between Taehyung and I and I hate people making false assumptions about me."

Lisa's mansion

                "I'm home." She passes by the study's room when she saw her father sitting there alone. "You didn't go to work ?" she inquired. "I heard the school district is coming up, aren't you supposed to be working hard? I saw your results recently and you dropped out of the deans' list? If the exams was difficult, why is Jung Ill's daughter still on the dean list ?"

"Have you been fooling around, Lalisa ?!" her father raised her voice which shook her. "All I ever wanted was a son. A son that would give a blind eye about love and someone that can fully be the successor of my company."

"Ever since you were young, you are always a step behind Jung Ii's daughter." The words from her father hit her hard. It's the truth.
She was always behind Jennie. They were best friends when they were in kindergarten.

Yet it changed when her father kept pushing her to become better than Jennie is. Jennie knew how strict her father is and vice versa. They were in the same situation but Lisa couldn't bring herself to truly accept that she missed being her friend.

When she looks at Jennie, she realised just how complicated her life was especially when she just knew that Jennie is a mafia member. But nothing's changed about how she view Jennie.

Jennie in the past and the Jennie now is still the perfect daughter. Just like she would do anything for her father, Jennie would do the same. In one way or another, Lisa thinks that Jennie and she are always meant to be rivals.
