"Are you nervous?" Lisa was massaging her shoulders blade when a man entered the lockers room.

Lisa looks towards the voice before chuckling, "I don't know what I'm more nervous about." The man raised an eyebrow at her.

"Are you sure about the confession? You could just turn a blind eye about this and move on with your life. It would save you from being awkward with him later on."

Lisa sighed as she tied her hair in a bun, grabbing her goggles. She stops twisting the doorknob as she faces him.

"I need to do this so that I can move on with my life." She sighed before exiting the room.

She brought out her phone out of her pockets and checked for any messages when her feet halted. Jennie suddenly showed up beside her with a grin.

          "Hey, champion! We've been waiting." Jennie took her by her arms as she drags the girls towards the centre of the commotion.

A huge banner was being waved around, presented there. " 'Lalisa is a real-life mermaid', 'Go, Lisa! Go !' ?"

Lisa questioned a grin that hasn't leave her face. "Thank you !"

"Well, we did get our hands dirty at Jen's house making them last night," Jisoo said, showing the visible paint on her elbows.

"Oh, please. All I did was provide the items needed. You gotta thank the mastermind, Hoseok." Jennie engulfed her in a hug when she saw Lisa got teary.

The girls soon made a group hug while the guys just smile, as they stood around them.

"Hoseok..." Lisa breathe out looking at the said man. She couldn't hold it in anymore as a tear escaped.

Hoseok engulfed her in a hug as he quipped with his bright smile, "I've told you before, we're friends. Don't ever feel like you're left out."

          The atmosphere in the locker room was completely different than it was outside. Lisa was left alone inside doing her usual routine; warming up to loosen her muscles.

"Focus on the water. Focus. Focus. Focus. Damnit." She reached for her phone as she texted a number.

While waiting, she did some stretching and breathing exercises when she saw a presence inside the room.

"Needed to see me?" Jennie asked as she sauntered in before sitting at the vacant space beside her.

Lisa nodded. She inhaled a sharp breath before she looked at Jennie. "I will confess today either I win or not."

It was silent for a while. "I won't interfere," Jennie said, staring blankly ahead.

"Goddamnit. Why ?"

"Why ?" Jennie repeated the question.

"No matter how I push you away, no matter how mean I was to you, why are you still treating me like a friend ?" Lisa burst out, staring at the girl beside her.
