CHAPTER 5: THE CALL

LISA'S POV
3:30 pm

Bobby and I were still here at my condo.
Jennie still hasn't called yet.
We still have a few hours to gather all the team.
First day is almost up.
We need to work 100x harder on Day 2.

Bobby's busy looking for the possible locations of the BIG list.
And my task now is to call the other members. He gave me a burner phone, just to make sure that no one could trace us.

I dialed the fourth person in the list.
Luckily, someone answered,
"Hello? Who's this?" Asked by a woman on the other line.

"Uhm... Hello? I'm looking for Hanbin?" I asked the woman.

"May I know who this is?" the woman asked as if she doesn't want to let me speak to Hanbin.

"Please tell him that it's Lisa. His old friend." I answered her coldly.

I'm kind of pissed off now.

"Lisa? Lisa WHO?! ARE YOU ONE OF HIS HOES?!?!"
she raised her voice in a high-pitch, ghetto accent.

"EXCUSE ME?! ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!" I answered her in disgust.

Then I heard a man from the background. I think the man was trying to take his phone back.

"MANOBAN! YO! BRO!!!" He said excitedly and laughed hard.

FINALLY.

"Han. I need you. Come to my shop, today. I'll send the location to you."

"WOAH?! I can feel that this is a BIG boost! You know you can alwa—"

I ended the call abruptly, he talked too much already.
I don't wanna waste my time.
I just sent him the address.

I called the others and they all agreed.

Now, two names left:
Kang Seulgi
R. Park
.
.

We were running out of time.
So, I told Bobby to find out where Seulgi lives, as she was out of reach.

Maybe, she changed her number for her safety. I found out that she has a family now, and I guess that's the reason why.
And I also asked him to check on my brother at the hospital again.
He told me that he was out of danger now. He's stable now.

Thank God...

"Hang in there, Bam..." I mumbled to myself.

LISA'S AUTO SHOP
5:00 pm

I went to my shop to check if Jennie's still here.

As I entered the shop, our security guard, Emilio, saluted and I just nod at him. His shift starts at 9:00 a.m.

I've noticed that Jisoo wasn't here at her post. I walked to the path where the garage is located.
The restroom door suddenly opened and Jisoo went out wearing her casual skinny denim and purple collared top T-shirt.

"Where's Jennie?" I asked my best friend who was startled.

"Jesus— You'll give me a heart attack!"

"Where is she???" I asked her as I'm getting impatient.

"Oh... A-About her... She left this morning. She told me that she'll stay at her mom's for a while, your girlfriend said that you needed some space..." she explained apprehensively.

"What? What do you mean space???" I asked in astonishment.

"Oh... Why are you so surprise, Lalisa? The love of your life is so clueless. She's just worried about you! So, if I were you... I will tell her what really is happening. She'll understands, if she truly loves you. But, I understand why you're keeping this from her, it's for her safety... Isn't it?" She stated and she's right.
