CHAPTER 21: FLARE

JENNIE's POV

"So this is your auto-shop, huh? Cool." I said as I wandered my eyes around the garage.

"Yup... Some parts of the shop are still under construction... Especially the lobby–" Lisa paused as she reached for the wrench from the ground, then continued twisting some nuts on the engine.

She wipes the grease off her hands on her denim overall,
"I wanted it to be more cozy for my loyal customers... Like you..." She looks at me straight into the eyes.

I gasped as I leaned back against the stack of tires, not minding my beige coat to get dirty.

I chortled,
"Me? How sure are you that I'm gonna be loyal... To you?"

"I just know." She answered confidently.

"You just know? Or maybe you're just expecting too much from me?" I said with the hint of provocation.

Lisa showed a lopsided grin, still her eyes were fixed on me.
She grabbed a rag then wiped the grease totally off her skin.
As she throws the rag to the table, she made a few steps closer to me. She cornered me between her arms as she placed her hands on the stack of tires.
I was surprised by her sudden gesture, that made me hold my breath deeply.

Lisa leaned her face to mine, then she stared down on my lips,
"Would you walk away, if I do?"

My eyes are now glued on her plump pinkish lips.

I couldn't fathom how I ended up here... How I ended up in this greatest thief's world.

"She is your person of interest, Jennie. She is a criminal— well... She used to be one." I thought to myself.

I didn't fear getting close to her.
In fact, Lisa has a very engrossing personality that keeps on pulling me to her... I couldn't get away...

"Are you gonna kiss me?" I mumbled under my breath.

"Are you gonna stop me?" She asked with her lustful eyes.

"If you want to... Then do it."
I mumbled under my breath.

Lisa's eyes went furious as she suddenly crushed her lips on mine, while grasping my nape roughly.

Our first kiss...

"Mmmm..." I let out a soft moan as she inserted her tongue in my mouth.

My body has started to feel hot as I her hands were stroking my back gently. We were just kissing until my lips get numb.

"I like you, Jennie..." She murmured on my mouth.

I stopped moving my lips.

'Please... Don't...'

"N-no..." I pushed her body away from me.
"I... I need to go." I said as I fixed my clothes and hair.

I turned my back against her and took my bag from the table.

"I LIKE YOU SO MUCH, JENNIE!!!"

I paused on my track and heaved a sigh.

This can't be happening...
This was my plan all along...
To make her fall for me...
To gain her trust...
But why does my heart suffer???

Suddenly, I felt her arms wrapping around my body.

"No! Lisa... I-I need to go..." I held her arms.

But she ignored me.

Her hands moved and started to remove the two buttons of my shirt.
I heard her heavy breathing as she brushes her lips on my ear. She was slowly insterting her hand in my shirt, and touched my chest.

My body loved her touch.

"Your mind says, 'no'... But heart doesn't lie..." She said as she turned my body to face her.

She tucked my hair behind my ears then cupped my cheeks.

"God... You are so gorgeous, Jennie..."

A smile plastered on her face then leaned to kiss my cheek.
But she didn't break it, instead she continued kissing my jaws, down to my neck.

"Why aren't you stopping me?" She whispered.

I closed my eyes and wrapped my arms around her. I let her kiss me wherever she wants without responding to her question.

Am I starting to fall for Lisa Manoban?
Am I ready to love a criminal?

I didn't notice that she already done removing all my buttons.
My mind was fucked up.

I couldn't think straight.

Lisa removed my top and threw it to the side.

But I stopped her.

I heard her chuckles,
"Are you gonna stop me now?" She smiled cockily.

I held a deep breath and touched her gorgeous face,
