6 hours left before the ultimatum

JENNIE'S POV

Lisa and I were driving home from Santa Monica to her condo.
It's just a 30-minute drive, not really that long for us to have a conversation inside her car.

It was a silent drive.

We didn't talk about what happened earlier, like about the ambush. Not even about Jisoo's situation.
Her silence was giving me a fright.
But I'm assuming that we'll talk about this at home...

*ENGINE STOPS*

"You hungry?" I asked her as we both went out from the car.

She stared at me for a second then sighed, "If you're hungry, then I'll eat with you."

Her answer was cold as ice.

Lisa took my hand as we walked together towards the entrance.

I'm having a bad feeling about this.

We greeted and smiled at the receptionist, I think her name was Raina.
I noticed the look in her face. That woman looked concerned the moment she glanced at Lisa.

"Ms. Manoban?" She called. "Good evening, Ms. Jennie."

Lisa and I halted, then we looked at each other. She gave me a quick nod, and then we walked towards the reception counter.

"Someone dropped a package earlier." The receptionist said.

"A package?" Lisa asked, looking a little confused. I furrowed my brows.

Yeah? A package?

"Yes, Ma'am. Here..." She pulled out a medium-sized brown envelope under the counter. "Some delivery guy gave me this."

Lisa took it from the receptionist and scanned every corner and surface of it.

"Did he leave a note or something?" Lisa asked her.

"Uh... Not really... He just told me that someone just paid him to deliver it. He didn't mention who it was from."

Lisa nodded in agreement then smiled at her.

"Okay. Thank you... I'll just take a look at this later."

"You're welcome, Ms. Manoban." She politely responded.

As we walked towards the elevator, my eyes were fixed on the envelope.

No notes? And it was sent anonymously? Who could it be?

"Baby?"

And Lisa looked surprised when she saw it.

How did the person know where Lisa lives?

"Jennie..."

I blinked rapidly as Lisa broke my trance.

"Yes?" I asked as we're both standing in front of the elevator now.

"Is something wrong?" She asked worriedly.

"Hmm? Uhm no... J-just curious about your package." I said truthfully.

She stared at the package on her hand and traced it with her thumb.

"I am too... I wonder who gave it to me."

She really is clueless.

"What do you think is inside that package? Do you think it came from Kwon Ji Yong?" I reluctantly asked.
