Sting's pov

I sat in the guild, talking with my friends. Rogue had been coming to the guild over the last couple weeks but his state hadn't improved. He still blankly stared ahead of him.

"How about wee go out for lunch. Maybe it will make Rogue feel better" Yukino suggested. We all agreed to that and got up. I hoisted Rogue up and started to walk towards the doors when I suddenly felt a dead weight on the side Rogue was on.

I turned to look and found Rogue, unconscious, his body slumped in a position that if I let go he would fall face first on the floor. I tried to tighten my grip on his arm but his arm slipped out of my grasp and he fell onto the ground.

"Rogue!" I yelled. This got the attention of everyone in the guild as people started muttering amdd some even panicking. I turned him onto his back and checked for a heartbeat. It was there. I then checked if he was breathing. Perfectly fine. His breathing had settled to a calm breathing, indicating that he was noothinng more then unconscious due to a lack of sleep.

"He's fine. He just passed out due to lack of sleep" I sighed. The guild members calmed down at this. I hoisted Rogue up and took him to the infirmary, laying him down on one of the beds.

"I swear Rogue. Your going to give me a heartattack if you keep doing this" I grumbled to him.

I was talking with the others about plans to try and help Rogue. It had been 3 months since he first collapsed in the guild hall and things hadn't gotten better.

He collapsed from being sleep deprived every few days to the point where I expected it now. He still stared blankly ahead and still didn't respond to anyone.

Since I wasn't good at cooking and I was afraid of burning the house down, I would get either ready made meals or take away unless Minerva or Yukino came over and offered to cook for us.

If I had to go on jobs I had to ask someone to watch Rogue and make sure thatt he eats something for his three meals each day. Everyone was starting to actually get sick and tired of caring for Rogue 24/7.

He was losing some of his muscle due to not having used it and he was putting weight on from the food with no exercise. While we were talking, Rogue suddenly collapsed, his head leaning on the table.

We all brushed it off as him collapsing due to lack of sleep. After a while I started to pick up on uneven, short breathing. I turned to Rogue and leaned my ear near him.

He was taking in sharp, shirt breaths and I felt like my heart was going to stop. "Someone call an ambulance" I yelled, standing up. "What's wrong?" Minerva asked.

"Something's wrong with Rogue. He needs a doctor" I replied. I didn't pay attention to wwho but someone called an ambulance. After a while, it arrived and Rogue was taken to the hospital.

I was waiting in the hospital for any news on Rogue. He had been in medical care for 3 days now. Wendy had been called and was helping the doctors.

"Mr Eucliffe?" someone asked. I looked up. "Are you here for Mr Cheney?" she asked. "Yes. Is he alright?" I asked. She gestured for me to follow her.

I was led to a room where Rogue lay in a bed as Wendy looked up from a seat in the corner. "Mr Cheney had a heart attack. He almost died but we were able to save him. Ms Marvel managed to help and healed his heart but you need to be careful. There is no guarantee that he'll live through aa second heart attack" the nurse explained.

I sighed and nodded, understanding. The nurse left. "Sting. I'm so sorry. I know that it's hard to watch a close friend nearly die but I'm sure Rogue will pull through" Wendy advised me.

"It's not that. Rogue's broken and I don't think he's going to get better. Its been 4 months since Miean died and he's still like this. What if he doesn't snp out of it? What if he dies from another heart attack or worse?" I spoke.

Wendy placed a hand on my arm, probably trying to reach my shoulder but she was just a little to short. "I'm sure Rogue will get better. His heart is hurting. A broken heart could take a long time tto heal" Wendy told me.

I just nodded in response. Wendy gave me a small smile as I forced one in return.
