♧ Chapter 26: Can I play with madness? ♧

Naruto POV:

Kankuro acted super weird and even though Sasuke wasn't so convinced by him...I kind of believe him. His eyes seemed sincere...who knows...maybe I'm just being a fool again.

"Are you okay, Naruto?" I  awoke from my trance and looked at the confused Sasuke and Gaara.
"Yeah. Sorry, I was just spacing out."
I quickly brushed everything off and put a big wide smile on my face. I'm going to give my flipping best to make Gaara happy today even if just for a little while.
"So...when are you guys going to tell me?" asked Gaara out of the blue
I looked at him and then at Sasuke lost. What was he talking about?
Then it hit me. I started blushing a little.
Sasuke took my hand and smirked at Gaara.
"How did you know?"
A small smile appeared on Gaara's face.
"I wish I could say that I'm the ultimate best friend who notices everything, but truth to be told...I saw you from the window walking into the hospital while holding hands. I knew that it will happen sooner or later...."
"W- what?" I  stuttered.
"I'm a narusasu shipper. You guys look cute together. I'm really happy for you."
I started blushing again.
"Thanks" then I let go of Sasuke's hand and went to Gaara. I ruffled his hair causing him to give me a death-glare but in my eyes he looked like a puppy.
"Don't worry, Gaara...even if we are a thing, we three are still best friends."
We spend the next two hours chatting, laughing, playing and talking. Sadly the nurses made us leave because the visit hours were over.

Sasuke and I started walking home. We took the longer way home which lead through a park- mini- forest thingy. Out of the blue Sasuke stopped and then... kissed me. I started blushing like a tomato...a-flipping-gain. Why do I keep blushing and being all shy. He started teasing me and then right before pulling away he bite gently on my lower lip leaving me in complete shock but also wanting more.
"And that is how it's done, love." He teased.
Dude, he is such a good kisser? Just how many fucking peoplel did he kiss? Oh wait he even fucked already so yeah...I suddenly remembered my kiss when he confessed to me. Fuck, I bet that it was so bad and awkward and fucking virgin??Still his lips tasted like vanilla? Dafuq? And it was still so gentle...for some reasons I started fan-girling in my head, but on the outside there was no emotion on my face.
"Hello? Earth to the dobe? Are you mad that I kissed you and am a better kisser?"
I just turned around and started walking ahead. He immediately followed me.
"I was just joking. I'm sorry...did you not like it?"
I stopped causing him to almost bump into me.
"I...actually loved it..."
"Then what's wrong?"
"Am I really a bad kisser?"
"So that's what this is about. Don't worry yourself with that...you have the best teacher that you can possible ask for." he said and winked? Dafaq?This day is so weird...why didn't we  just stick at being best friends? 
"What the actual hell? Okay this is just too much for me. Who are you and what did you do to my duck- butt?"
"What?"
"I mean *cough* the duck-butt."
...

We entered the house laughing.
"You guys seem in a good mood today, hun" Deidera remarked.
Sasuke rolled his eyes giving his famous 'Hn' while I just smiled and then greeted Itachi.

Time skip...The next morning

Sasuke POV:

I reached over to the phone to turn the alarm off. I was feeling tired, like I didn't have the strength to stand up. I put my arm back around Naruto's waist and buried my face in his neck. I was feeling like a lost puppy looking for comfort. Naruto suddenly turned around towards me. He came closer and cuddled with me.
"What's wrong?" he asked in a whisper tone.
"I...Nothing. I mean I just feel funny."
"It's not in your character to sleep in and ignore the clock risking to be late and missing the opportunity to piss me off while trying to get me out if bed. And it's also not in your style to be the one looking for affection. I'm the clingy one."
"I'm just tired, Naruto." I mumbled.
"Did I bother you in your sleep?"
"No, of course not. I slept the whole night...my mind is just...I don't know...heavy."
"Is there something bothering you? You know I'm here for you."
"It's nothing. I just want to sleep more. Let's skip the first two classes...and go to school from 10 o'clock."
"Are you really sure? What if Itachi  gets mad at us ?"
"Don't worry he won't. Let's just sleep some more."
I got closer to Naruto and covered myself with the blanket until the neck. I closed my eyes and let out a sight. I felt Naruto playing with my hair which was kind of comforting and relaxing.
"I really love you, Sasuke. I'm here for you for whatever and whenever." I heard him whisper.
"I love you, too" I mumbled before falling asleep.
