Step one: you don't
FOR NONLAZY PEOPLE:
Step one: start running bath water.
Step two: find you favorite cat shampoo.
Step three: forcefully pick up cat by tail and swing it around like a rope.
Step four: after its calmed down push it under boiling water to kill all the fleas and bugs on it.
Step five: then quickly before all the flesh is burned off, put the cat in ice water to cool it off.
Step six: use flea shampoo to wash its eyes to make sure that it doesn't get pink eye.
Step seven: throw the cat in the nearest hurricane to dry it off.
