Outburst

Laura PoV

Time flew by and soon enough it was THE day. The day Demis parents and her sisters would come. And I'm terrified. What if they don't like me? What if Demis parents think Demi shouldn't have gotten me? Will they make her bring me back? I don't want to leave Demi. I love her. I need her. I need Naya too. I wouldn't be able to live without them. It's scarry how dependent I got on them after just a few weeks. It's been 4 weeks since Demi adopted me. She and Naya are going great. After I visited Marissa that day when she took me to the trampoline wearhouse Demis parents called to cancel that weekend they wanted to come because Maddie had an aerial performance. Demi was really sad. But they promised to come as soon as Maddies summerbreak starts. Which apparently is now. And it's my birthday in a week. I'm really excited. I'm turning 14. I'm 2 years older than Maddie but I hope we won't have problems. She is really mature for her age so I hope we'll get along good and that she won't be jealous because you know how much she loves Demi. I'm pretty sure Dallas won't be a problem. She seems really chill from what I heard. Demi talks about her family very much. You can see how much she misses them. She's so excited that they're coming to visit us and tell them about her and Naya and me. I'm just so scared of how her parents will react. I mean their daughter adopted a child and forgot to tell them. I'm just very lucky that paparazzi barely saw me. And when they did we told them I'm one of Nayas nieces. Since she has so many they didn't question it any further. Luckily. I hope Demis parents won't be mad because she didn't tell the truth. And no matter how things will go soon the world will know who I am because Demi is doing an interview on monday. Today is friday for those who were wondering. Demi family will be here in

"Laura. Earth to Laura"

"What?"

"You zoned out babygirl.What were you thinking about? I tried to talk to you for more than 5 minutes. What were you thinking about. Tell me what's going on in that pretty head of yours.", Demi said, breaking my train of thoughts.

"I'm scared.", I admitted.

"Of what babygirl?", Demi asked.

"Of what babygirl?", I mocked her, clearly annoyed.

"Don't do that", Demi said strickt.

"Do what?", I asked sweetly because I knew it would annoy her even more.

"Laura Michelle Rivera-Lovato.", Demi said through gritted teeth. Gosh you have no idea how much she was annoying me in this moment.

"Gosh you don't get it do you?", I screamed before standing up and running out of the room. Before I completely disappeared I turned around and looked at Demi who was staring at me with her mouth hanging open in shock. I honestly couldn't care less.

"Close your mouth or you'll catch flies mommy dearest.", I said with a voice as innocent as I could make it sound. Then I stormed into my room and closed the door being me. As soon as I sat down on my bed I felt bad. Was I too harsh with Demi? I mean she is my mother. She loves me. I just couldn't help it  I got so angry and annoyed. Now that I am thinking about it there wasn't a reason for me to act like this. I should go apologise. But before I could even finish this thought the door got pulled open.

Demi PoV

"Close your mouth or you'll catch flies"

With that she left, leaving me on the couch. I was speechless. What have I done? Did I do something wrong to deserve this outburst? In that moment Naya came through the door.

"Hey Demi.. Wait. I know that look. Did she do it again?"

All I could do was nod. Laura had this outbursts pretty often in the past 2 weeks. I didn't know this side of her. It scared me to be honest.

"She has these pretty often don't you think?", Naya said, voicing my thoughts. I nodded again.

"I don't know why though. I used to have them as a teen. But that was because of my..", I left my sentence unfinished.

"I know. But do you think she?"

"I don't know Naya. We'll have to wait and see. But even if or if not there has to be a reason for this. I'll go upstairs and see what's wrong."

I stood up and went into Lauras room. Laura jumped up, ran up to me and threw herself around my neck.

"I'm so sorry mommy. I don't know why I yelled at you. I really don't."

That just added more evidence.

"It's ok babygirl. What were you scared of earlier?"

"That they won't like me. What id your family won't accept me?"

"They will love you baby. I promise. Now come on we gotta pick them up from the airport.
