I wake up before Xavier does so I decide to get dressed and wake him up afterwards but as I step out of bed a shooting pain runs up my foot and I scream, forgetting that I injured myself.

Xavier shoots up immediately, looking for danger and his eyes settle on mine and he picks me up and sits me on the edge of the bed and examines my injuries again.

"I'm fine, I just forgot I can't put pressure on it," I say assuring him.

He just shakes his head and continues to take off my bandages and re-bandage them even though it's unnecessary.

"Will you help me to the closet?" I ask shyly, knowing I will need help getting ready.

He looks up at me and grins and nods before picking me up bridal style and striding over to our closet and sitting me down on the small chair.

He rummages through my selection of clothes before picking out a mid-length wavy blue skirt and a plain white top to match.

I lean over from my seat and grab undergarments from the drawer next to me and tell Xavier to turn around as I quickly take off my old clothes and put them on.

"You can turn back around," I stammered. No one has ever seen me like this before and I'm not sure how I feel about Xavier seeing me.

I cover my chest with my arms as Xavier approaches me, holding the skirt and top.

"You're beautiful," he whispers softly, tracing his finger down my cheek gently.

I smile up at him but still keep my arms crossed over my chest.

He passes me the top and turns around without me asking him to and I quickly pull it over my head and cough to signal for him to turn back around.

He kneels down on the floor and slides the skirt up my legs slowly and helps me stand up on one foot to slide the rest up to my waist.

My arms are wrapped around his neck tightly as his hands rest on my waist and I look up at him to see him staring down at me in adoration.

I blush furiously and duck my head down and he picks me up again and carries me into the bedroom and drops me on the bed and hovers above me, close to my face.

He leans down and captures my lips in his and immediately I kiss him back, loving the feeling of the sparks dancing across my skin.

He breaks the kiss and smirks down at me.

"No heels today I'm guessing?"

We walk- well Xavier walks and I hobble to the large hall for breakfast and everyone immediately turns and stares at me with such strong sympathy it makes me physically wince and look to the floor.

Xavier squeezes my hand and leads me to the head of the table where his dad is already waiting for us.

"Where's mom?" Xavier asks as he helps me into my chair and pushes it in for me before sitting next to me.

"She hasn't been sleeping well recently so I didn't wake her up," he replies, seeming exhausted himself.

I keep my eyes trained on my empty plate, not wanting to face the sea of people who are feeling sorry for me.

Xavier grabs my plate and his own and walks off to grab some food but I keep my eyes trained downwards.

"Elizabeth, how are you doing?" Jonathon asks suddenly, making my head shoot upwards to look at him.

I pause, unsure of what to say. What do I say? Tell him I had a mental breakdown and smashed everything in Xavier's bathroom?

"I'm fine," my voice wavers, automatically indicating that I'm lying but he doesn't bring it up.
