❝You're spacing out.❞

Minji came back to her senses when Karissa spoke. They were currently having some coffee in the hospital's cafeteria since their shift is until almost midnight.

❝U-uhm. Kinda,❞ Minji had utterly lost her words, don't know what to respond to Karissa who looked at her as if she was an alien from another planet.

❝I've heard Chaejin and Hana. May problema ka daw.❞

❝K,❞ She called Karissa, making the latter shift her gaze to Minji. ❝Why am I struggling alone?❞ She asked.

Karissa placed her hands on top of Minji's. ❝When you are struggling wih something, look at those people around you and you'll see them struggling with something, and for them it's just as hard as what you're going through.❞

Minji was truly shocked with K's statement. She did not expect her to be this flowery.

Is that so?

❝Saka pala,❞ Tumayo na si Karissa at tinapik ang balikat niya. ❝You were never alone. As long as we're here, you have nothing to worry about.❞ And with that, she left.

Aalis na din sana siya sa kinauupuan niya ng sumigaw ang sekretarya niya na halatang nagmamadali. Akala niya may maglelabor na naman, pero hindi niya inasahan ang sinabi nito.

❝Doc! May sapilitang pumasok sa office niyo! Kuya niyo daw!❞

He's back. Jimin's back.

Should I be happy though? Or dapat na ba akong matakot dahil hindi ko na alam ang pwede niyang gawin?
