Sitting on the clouds

A midnight moon hung over my bed
Casting its luminescent array of shine
The floor had flown out of reality
And I hovered in the air on a cloud of imagination
Looking at the beautifully shaped crescent
The fluff of the cloud wrapped me in a cocoon
Keeping the chilly air from freezing my skin
I loved the moon in its entirety
The bright bulb that always shone
The mood provides us light in the dark
Not only can the sun shine
Such an under-appreciated entity
Don't you love the moon and the stars
More than the sun's morning rays?
Surely there's the moon lovers who hide under curtains
Scurry around in the dark
In hoodies and sweats
Feeling more at peace with the dark light than light
Those who's eyes have read far more words
In a book
Than a human mind can think
Those who wish to join me up high
Sitting upon a cloud, dancing with the stars
Enjoying the nights time
