You trap me in your hold
And it felt like I was drowning
As you whispered your sweet talk
In an attempt to make me stay
"I hate you" I cried
Because you cheated, you liar
You said you would love me forever
"I do" you lied again
Your hold was trapping me
Beneath the surface
So I couldn't breath
"Let me go. Let me go!"
I cried and cried
But you held. Me. Down
My heart was stinging in pain
Wailing to the sound of every word
You spoke, those sweet words
And it hurts, it hurts
That your warm hold
Turned coldLet. Me. Go
