Let go

When all you see is the back
of your partner
Walking from you
You need to let go
When the memories of
laughter and happiness
Fade into fights and arguments
It's better to breath and let go
When the flicker of love you had turns
To a fire of poison
It's healthy to let go
Don't feel as if you need to stay
Because you don't need to
It causes ones heart to break
But that doesn't need to stay
You have to learn to heal
And no it won't happen overnight
and feel okay
Usually you'll wake up with grey
Dullness
But trust me to say that one day
Just one day
You'll wake up and not feel
The pressure
Do not fight the healing
And do not expect that old flame to die
Nothing goes away
But it becomes easier to deal
Then you'll finally walk away
Too
