Apollo was right.

Just 14 weeks later, a murder appeared nearby, and they asked me and Kristoph to take the case.

Well, Apollo did.

He was really focused on getting us to work together.

I just hope Miles won't get jealous....again...

That day was really scary.

But here we were, investigating.

The murder was brutal in my opinion.

The victim, Poppy Papaver, 25, was poisoned then strangled to death.

From what we found, there was a poison pill bottle with no fingerprints.

There was also a prescription with a scraped off name.

I knew this was gonna be a tricky case.

"Found anything?" I kneeled next to Kristoph.

"Nothing new." He sighed, standing up.

"The killer really know what they were doing, eh?" I crossed my arms.

He nodded. "We have to find something. Just look closer."

That's when it happened.

When I looked around, my eyesight was keen.

The room got darker, and something was highlighted in a blue color.

The hell..?!

What just...happened...?!

The sight began shaking, and soon went away.

"Is something wrong, Mrs. Fey?" Kristoph asked, his arms crossed as well.

"I....I'm sure it's nothing. Don't worry about it." I waved my hand and closed my eyes.

But when I opened them, the room was still shaking. It was shaking profusely again. But it left quickly.

"Are you sure, Mrs. Fey? Your pupils are contracted."

"They are? Oh." I laughed nervously.

He looked around. "If we can't find evidence, we have no case."

And that's obviously not good. I told Apollo it's my job to put the criminals to justice...must I fail it?

There it went again.

Okay, fine! Geez...this is just scary and getting on my nerves!

"Maybe we should check over there." I sighed, going over to where the color was.

I checked the floor, and there it was. The contradiction in our evidence.

"Kristoph...she was strangled and poisoned, right?" I asked.

"That is correct. What'd you fine?" He kneeled down.

"A blood splatter. We should check if this is the victims."

He nodded, and called a forensics examiner over.

Well, boy, will this take a turn in our case.

It was the one night in bed.

The night of the investigation was that night.

And don't you DARE get any dirty ideas.

"Milesy?" I whispered.

"Hm?" He hummed, eyes still closed. He seemed sleepy, and I hated to wake him, but I had the news.

"I need a hospital." I said, surprised that I was calm.

"Why's that?" He opened an eye.

"I'm pretty sure my water just broke."

His eyes widened. "I-it did..?"

"From what I feel, yes."

He jolted up, sitting up. "You need a hospital!!"

"I already said that." I chuckled.

She was beautiful.

After she was washed, and cared for, I finally got to hold her.

"What are we naming her?" Miles asked, playing around with her little cheek.

"What do you think about Adahlia?" I asked, looking up at Miles.

"It's...a beautiful name. For a beautiful girl." He said, still playing with her cheek.

This ride was going to be tough. A baby on board, an attorney, and an investigation I still have to finish.

But I'll do it. I'll make it.

I suppose this is a good time to shut the book.

You've been here, reading everything I've wrote down. Every description, every challenge, every scene.

You liked the path, right? You don't want to stop walking, right?

You wanna see how we end out.

Well I'll tell you.

This is just the beginning. You'll enter the elysian, you'll reach the middle.

This isn't the end. Don't get low.

I'm proud of you. You're coming a long way.

You just have the middle and the end.

Now go ahead. Enter the elysian.

I'll see you again in just a few minutes.
