Thanksgiving 1992

Lucy's POV:

it's thanksgiving today and we're going to Grandma's, I haven't seen her for a while so I'm quite excited about it. After my shower I put on my dress which I got from when I saw Annie in New York and red dolly shoes to match. Daddy is home until January which I'm happy about cause I can spend more time with him. I brush my hair and make my way downstairs

"Earthquake is expected to hit southern california tonight" I hear Bill saying to Paddy

"daddy, where does grandma live?"

"you know where grandma lives" he smiles as I sit down

"but is it east, west or what of the state?"

"you could say the southern area I guess, why?"

"thanksgiving has to happen here then"

"why?"

"cause an earthquake is due to hit southern Cali"

dad looks over at Bill and Paddy then at me "it won't be near Grandma's sweetie"

"you sure?"

"yeah, I'm sure. now eat your breakfast then we'll be leaving"

"ok"

Michael's POV:

we arrive and Lucy instantly went outside to play with her cousins so I joined everyone else and sat by mother.

"so Jermaine what's this I hear about you getting stuck in a shopping cart?" Rebbie asks

me Tito, Jermaine and Janet instantly burst out laughing

"nothing....I just got....a little.....stuck" Jermaine giggles

"and I hear Tito was mean and drove off"

"yeah, he said the wind can take me home....wanna tell him off?"

"no"

"why?"

"cause if I'm gonna tell him off then it will be because I wasn't there to witness it"

"Mother didn't you have some of the photos too?" Janet asks

"yeah, I put them on the piano in the office"

Janet gets up and goes to get them, the pictures I must admit did turn out good and the video was even better. she comes back and hands them to Rebbie who burst out laughing whilst looking at them.

"that's too funny" she smiles handing them back to Janet

"I know" Janet smiles and goes to take them back

"anyone heard of that earthquake that's due to hit southern cali tonight?" Tito asks

"don't remind me, Lucy got all worked up about that cause she overhead Bill and Paddy talking about it"

"it won't be major through, it's that time of the year again" Mother says

"yeah" Jermaine says agreeing with her

Lucy's POV:

I sit in between daddy and La Toya and after we pray we're allowed to dig into food. after an hour and a half everyone has finished and I'm sat here causally munching on my corn on the cob.

"you enjoying that?" Janet asks

"uh huh" I smile

I love corn in the cob, as everyone can probably tell seeing as this is my 4th one now. I finish it and put the cob on the plate with the other 3.
