chapter 37

Lucy's POV:

La Toya and Elnora found a house, they're moving next week. It's been exactly 14 days since the twins arrived too. I tie my hair up in a ponytail then I put on my red skinny jeans and Thriller shirt and goes downstairs. "Where's Daddy?" I ask Mary as I enter the laundry room

"He's at the zoo with the twins"

"Ok, thank you" I smile and leave

I reach the zoo and look around, I find everyone by the tigers and I hug Daddy "you're finally awake" he laughs hugging me back

"I've been up ages" I smile

"No you haven't" he laughs pulling away

"Have you seen my piano book?"

"The one with your made up notes?"

"Yeah"

"I've borrowed it for something"

"What for?"

"It's a surprise which you have to wait for, it may take over a year though"

"Ok"

"Mac is coming around today too"

"Who's Mac?" Elnora asks

"The kid from Home Alone" I smile

"Oh him, you know him?"

"Yeah, he's really cool and funny"

Michael's POV:

I sit at my desk and wait for Frank's answer

"I'm sorry Michael, she died the day before the twins arrived"

"Did you manage to find out how?"

"She didn't recover from the operation"

"How am I meant to tell Lucy? This is a massive head puzzle for her Frank, finding out her grandmother has died and she died before she even knew about her"

"I know it's gonna be hard, don't tell her when she died only tell her if she asks"

"Alright, when should I tell her?"

"I think it's best to tell her now"

"Ok, thank you for finding out"

"It's ok"

I walk outside and see Lucy is playing tag with Elnora and Mac, I can't tell her now she's happy and is having fun. She notices me and comes running over "has Frank found her?" She smiles

I pick her up and carry her inside, I sit down with her on my lap and look at her as she looks up smiling into my eyes. "Daddy?"

"Frank did manage to find out information"

"Is she alive?" She asks giving me a hopeful look

"I'm sorry sweetie, she passed away"

Her eyes fill up with tears and she buries her head into my chest, I hold her close and let her cry. After a good 20mins she slowly stops and pulls away, she wipes her eyes and looks at me

"can I go to my room please?"

I nod yes and she walks off upstairs. I get up and go back outside, I hope she'll be ok. She was so excited thinking Frank will find her and she'll be able to meet her, I did keep telling her not to get her hopes up but she was so happy at the thought that it took over her.

"Where's Lucy gone?" Mac asks

"She's in her room, she's not feeling too good"

He nods ok and runs off, La Toya sits by me and frowns "bad news?"
