chapter 29

December 25th 1992

Lucy's POV:

I wake up and instantly smile, it's christmas. I get out of bed and put my Christmas hat and dress on then I run to Daddy's room. I jump on the bed and shake him "DADDY WAKE UP" it takes me a few minutes, Daddy is a deep sleeper.

"Alright alright,  I'm awake" he giggles and opens his eyes

"Merry Christmas" I smile

"Merry Christmas" he smiles back

I cuddle him and gives him a big kiss "Santa came"

"How do you know?"

"I just do" the door knocks and we hear Elizabeth calling "come on Daddy" I smile pulling him out of bed. He gets out and puts on his fedora then we leave the room.

"Merry Christmas Elizabeth" I smile hugging her

"Merry Christmas Sweetheart"

I pet her dog and goes to the living room, Daddy don't like little dogs even though he got tigers and other dangerous animals outside. I sit down by Daddy and we start to unwrap presents. Richard had this fake snow stuff and I was playing with that getting covered in snow until Daddy breaks my moment with another horrible news announcement

"I got another super soaker" he smiles, that's like the 7th one now.

"That's not fair" Elizabeth laughs

"Daddy you got loads of them already" I move and sit on his lap and hand him a present "I got you this one"

He smiles and opens it "thank you sweetie, I love it" he smiles and hugs me. I got him a new Peter Pan figure, well Janet payed for it but still. After all the presents was opened which took a good few hours Daddy went to get changed, he wants a super soaker fight this afternoon. I went upstairs to brush the snow out of my hair. When I left to go back downstairs I heard some cries. Coming from Daddy's room. I go in and look around, making my way closer to him then I found him in the bathroom.

"Daddy? what's wrong?"

He turns around and wipe his eyes "oh nothing sweetie" he smiles picking me up

"I love you Daddy"

"I love you too"

"Can I be on your team then?" I smile

"Of course you can" he laughs, I go downstairs and have something quick to eat then Daddy comes downstairs and we make sure everyone is ready and we go outside.

Michael's POV:

"Are you sure about this?" Lucy asks as we're hiding in the Carousel

"Yeah, we need to win" I smile

"But whatever happens you always win and is the only one dry"9

"You're dry too"

"That's cause I cheated and quickly jumped up on things or you gave me a piggy back"

"True , but you're still doing good and I'm sure this gonna work"

"Shh" she whispers whilst pointing to Elizabeth and the guards making their way over towards us, we hide behind one of the horses and wait until they get closer.

"They must be around here somewhere, we've looked everywhere" Elizabeth says

"Ready?" I mouth, she nod yes and we slowly stand up "ok, 3,2,1"

"We win" we both smile and squirt them with the new super soakers.

"That's not fair" they laugh
