You guys! Today is 120 years since the newsboys strike of 1899 begun!
Who knew that somewhere in New York that a bunch of boys would take a stand against the big shots about the prices of papes getting raised. At the time, all they were doing was striking for a better tomorrow. Little did they know that many years later, there would be a movie about their little strike. A few more years later a musical, then a national tour AND a live movie that would all have a HUGE following!
Us fansies have all come together and built this fandom. Weather you learned about the strike in school, by watching the 92 movie, or through the musical, we all love the same story. A bunch of newsboys who started a strike back in 1899.
