Graciela's POV
I walked around Harry Potter land with my best friend, Rilee.
"I'm going to get butter beer, I'll be right back," Rilee explainer. I nodded then walked over to a bench.
I sat down on it and played on my phone.
Someone sat next to me but I didn't look up.
"That was quick Rilee," I commented.
"I don't think I'm Rilee," a male voice said. I looked up confused and saw a guy around my age sitting there.
"Oh, sorry. I thought you were my friend," I said with a small laugh.
"I can tell," he smiled. "I'm Jonah by the way."
"I'm Graciela," I replied.
"Nice to meet you Graciela!"
"So Jonah, who are you here with?" I asked.
"My four best friends, they're all getting wands right now but I already have one," Jonah explained. I smiled and nodded. "I'm assuming you're here with that Rilee girl?"
"Yeah, she's getting us butter beer."
"Cool!"
"Jonah! Let's go!" A guy with a tooth gap exclaimed.
"One minute!" Jonah replied, causing the four guys waiting to smirk. "Do you uh, think I could get your number?"
"Sure!" I replied. He handed me his phone and I put my contact in as Graciela😊😘then handed his phone back to him.
"Thanks, I should probably go now," Jonah commented.
"Ok, text me?"
"Of course! Bye Graciela!" Jonah said then walked off.
When he made it to the other four guys they all patted his back and started laughing at him, he looked back at me and smiled, and I happily smiled back.
Rilee came and sat down next to me.
"So? Who's that guy?" Rilee asked as she handed me a cup with butter beer in it.
"His name is Jonah," I said, a blush evident on my cheeks.
"He's cute," Rilee giggled. I nodded and blushed. "Did you get his number?"
"No, but he has mine," I answered. I looked down at my phone as a message popped up on it.
Unknown Hey Graciela! It's Jonah
Me That was quick
*changed 'unknown' to 'Harry Potter Kid'*
Harry Potter Kid I wanted to make sure you didn't give me a fake number
Me And why would I do that?
Harry Potter Kid I don't know, maybe because I'm not that attractive or anything?
Me Don't say that.
Me I better go now, talk later?
Harry Potter Kid Sure, talk to you later
I put my phone down and into my pocket.
"Who was that?" Rilee asked with a smirk.
"Jonah," I blushed. She laughed and shook her head.
*1 month later*
For the past month I've been texting Jonah everyday, and we found out that we're both from Minnesota.
I smiled as I got another text from Jonah.
Harry Potter Kid Hey! I was wondering if you'd like to meet up somewhere?
Me Sure! Where?
Harry Potter Kid Well you said you live just outside of Stillwater right?
Me Yeah!
Harry Potter Kid Want to meet up at the river near the park?
Me Sure! See you in 20?
Harry Potter Kid Sure! See you then
*20 minutes later because I'm lazy*
I walked up to a bench beside the river and saw Jonah waiting there.
"Hey!" Jonah said then stood up.
"Hey!" I replied. I hugged him tightly then we sat down together.
"I uh, I actually wanted to meet because I have a question," Jonah said nervously.
"Ok, what is it?" I asked curiously.
"I uh, I've liked you for a while and uh, I was wondering if you'd like to uh, go on a date sometime?" he stuttered. I smiled and nodded.
"I'd love to!" I answered. I hugged him tightly and put my head into his neck.
It all started at Harry Potter Land.
