Me Do you want to go to the fair tomorrow?

I put my phone down and smiled, this will be the first time that Zach and I have hung out in a while, he's been busy with his upcoming tour.
*the next day*
I woke up to my alarm, it was 8am.
I looked at my phone, only to see a text from Zach.
Zachy poo❤️ Hey baby, I know we're supposed to go to the fair but my manager just called me to record my part of the song and he wouldn't let me reschedule. I'm sorry love💘
Me It's ok, maybe next time :/
I put down my phone and sighed, a few tears trickled down my face. I was excited to see him today.
I decided to text my best friend, also Zach's bandmate, Daniel.
Me Hey Dani, Zach couldn't make it to the fair today so would you and the guys want to come?
Tooth gapped giraffe Sure! Meet there for 9:30?
Me Sure! See you then!
I put down my phone then started getting ready.
*leaving time*
I looked at my outfit one last time. I was wearing a tight white tank top with a flannel tied around my waist, and ripped jean shorts.
I grabbed my purse and car keys then left the house.
*at the fair*
I got out of my car and walked over to Daniel, Jonah, Jack, and Corbyn. I hugged them all and said hello then we started walking around.
*a few hours later* sorry for all the skips😬
I waited in line for the biggest ride with Daniel, the other tree chickened out.
My hands started shaking from nervousness.
"You scared Mel?" Daniel teased. I playfully hit his arm.
"Shut up Seavey," I sassed back. He smirked then held my hand tightly.
"Is this ok?"
"Yeah, it's helping me calm down," I answered. Daniel nodded with a smile.

When we got off of the ride we were still holding hands.
"That was awesome!" I exclaimed. Daniel and I were laughing as we headed back to the guys.
I saw Zach standing there with a mad expression. "Hey babe!" I said as I ran towards him. I hugged him but he didn't hug me back. I pulled away and looked up at him. "What's wrong?"
He glared at Daniel.
"What was that all about?" He scoffed. I looked at him with a confused look.
"What?"
"The holding hands?" Zach said madly then looked back at me.
"Babe, we're friends. We were scared to go on the ride. It was nothing," I said calmly.
"It was nothing my ass."
"Why is this such a big deal to you? We've been best friends for years!"
"Because you're holding another guy's hand Melani! It's a big deal," he raised his voice.
"I can't believe you right now Zach," I scoffed. "You know I wouldn't cheat on you, especially not with Daniel! He's my best friend, nothing more. Ok?"
"Ok, I'm sorry, you're right," Zach admitted. He hugged me tightly and I hugged him back.
"I love you Zach," I said softly.
"I love you too baby girl."
