Chapter 17: Scavenger Hunt

A woke up with a loud sound beeping beside me.

I grab it to check what it was.

I thought it was my phone.

But it wasn't.

Because I got no chain attach to my phone.

I saw Oli's name on the screen. He was trying to call her.

My heart stung a little at the sight of her wallpaper.

It was the two of them with a selfie photo of them hugging each other.

I felt the bed move.

"O?" She said in her sleepy voice while caressing the bed.

I guess she's checking if I was still here.

"Good morning.. my brother is trying to call you." I said in a low voice.

She rub her eyes gently.

She took her phone in my hand.

"What time is it?" She asked softly while texting on her phone.

"6 am.. I know it's still early. You can go back to sleep." I replied as I stood.

She grab my hand in an instant.

"Where are you going?" She asked skeptically.

"Downstairs.. Still need to clean up the remaining mess from last night. Why?" I replied.

She let go of my hand.

"Wait.. I'll help you." She said smiling.

She's in a good mood. I could tell.

Maybe she got some cool text from my brother.

I was mopping the floor in our kitchen while she was using the vaccum in our living room and cleaning our carpet.

"Hey girls good morning!" My mom greeted us estatically.

She's already dress for work.

"You're working today?" I asked.

She gave me an apologetic look.

"Sorry.. I got some important meetings even on holidays." She said warmly.

"But we still got a lot of leftovers from last night right? I'm sure Sarah can manage the kitchen.. when you obviously can't" she said joking.

I glare at her but she just chuckle lightly.

"I'll see you guys later." She said lastly then waved us goodbye.

It took us a hour to finish cleaning the whole house.

I sat comfortably on our couch.

"That was tiring." I said while fanning myself.

Sarah handed me a glass of water then sat next to me.
