'You've been seeing Regulus...regularly?' I whispered harshly at Sirius as we all quickly marched back down the halls in a hurry not to get caught. Sirius rolled his eyes at my tone.

'Secretively yeah. You really think I'd just ignore my brother? We found a way. Tonight I was meant to meet him and obviously I couldn't, I had to get the password from Sonny to go apologise to Reg.' Sirius explained.

'Why didn't you tell me?' I felt a little jealous unnecessarily ,having to stay clear from Reggie because of Narcissas warnings. Jealous that I hadn't thought about sneaking Reggie out to meet him myself.

'I wanted some alone time with him.'

I nodded understanding.

'Why couldn't I come upstairs with you guys? Why did you bring me if I was just going to be left downstairs? It was far too risky!' Slight panic and wild adrenaline still pumped through me wondering what Narcissa was going to do with the fact she knew we were aware of the Slytherin password.

'We know that now. We thought a lookout would be a great idea!' Peter puffed out of breath and going pink in the face.

'I'm sorry we left you alone, we didn't know she'd be awake. Or anyone for that matter.' Remus smiled sadly referring to Narcissa and touching the small of my back, sending a small shiver up my spine.

'It's fine...next time just involve me a little closer, yeah?' I forced a small laugh. The boys nodded.

We all headed back to the rooms we were locked inside and said our goodbyes. Ready to be interrogated by morning. The sun slowly beginning to rise outside, a slight dim glow seeping through tiny windows.

Before I started to walk to the hospital ward again, after closing the door to Peters room behind me, I heard a noise.

'Arty?' Sonny's voice whispered as he poked his head outside of the room he was in next door.

'Hmm?' I said slightly surprised, not expecting him.

'I want to take the blame for you.' He said seriously,

I felt my mouth go dry and my eyes widen ever so faintly. I walked up to him with a stagger in my step, instantly preparing my voice to whisper.

'Why in merlins name would you do that for?' I whispered harshly at him.

'I've been thinking and you'll get sent home, Arty. Forgive me for bringing it up but you don't have a safe home to go back to. I do.' He said matter-of-factly.

'You won't just get sent home for it Sonny, you'll be forbidden to do your OWLS...Merlin, you'll be expelled entirely!' I said, my mouth hanging low with the shock of his stupid sweetness.

He simply smiled.

'Dads got his own business I can apprentice at, it won't be ideal but karma exists, doesn't it? OWL results aren't everything.' He shrugged.

I didn't understand, I thought Slytherins were meant to be ambitious? He's willing to drop his exams and potentially not pursue a certain kind of career, start working at a family business...for what? For me.

'Why do you really want to do this, Sonny?' I sighed, rubbing my temples.

'I love you, Arty.' He softly smiled.

My heart dropped. My eyes flicked over his face trying to assess even the slightest ounce of sarcasm or humour. Nothing but sincerity.

'Let me do this for you, and then I can leave and you can be with Remus with no distractions.' He swallowed harshly.

'I can't let you do that for me Sonny...I just can't.' I shook my head violently, feeling terribly bad and manipulative even when I know I haven't tried to be. As if I was using him and his feelings though it wasn't my intention nor did I ask for this. Guilt racing through my veins.

He laughed warmly at my obvious chaotic inner thoughts. Softly touched my shoulders and wrapped me in a hug. His dark straight hair tickled the side of my face. He lingered there for a while before pulling away and ever so softly kissed my cheek.

'Go to sleep, Arty. It's been a pleasure being your friend, make sure to write to me.' He smiled and before I could grab him he closed the door to his room. The enchanted lock clicking, a sound that meant neither one of us could see each other now.

I stood, staring at the wooden door for what felt like forever.

'Don't do this. I beg you.' I whispered to the door feeling absolutely defeated.

(I am SO SO SO SORRY for not updating in what feels like for-fucking-ever. I've been as the kids call it -straight up HAVING A GOOD TIME- which to some of you might not be a good excuse but being distracted by actually experiencing life? I'll take it. Hope you're all doing well too!! Love you all x)
