"Did he?"

"No. I have to find something first."

"What?"

"A dragon. "

"What?"

"Which one?"

"His daughter."

"How the- are we supposed to find his daughter?"

"How am I going to find her you mean. He said ME."

"Why?"

"I don't know. Don't ask me. I do have one place to go though."

"And that is?"

"I have a friend."

"Wow! You have a friend." Irene says sarcastically. "Someone did the impossible. You made a friend." She steps closer to Ebony, squeezing something in her hand but keeping it out of Ebony's sight.

"Woah that was uncalled for. I have a lot of friends! Yes most of them can't talk and are fluffy savage animals. But that shouldn't matter!"

"But not me."

"yes. Not you."

"And why is that?"

"I don't know. Maybe I don't like you. Maybe you kidnapped my one and only friend at the time and forced her to tell you about me."

"Oh yeah. That was fun. When's your birthday again?" Irene asks, right in front of Ebony.

"That's a weird question. Why would I remember that?"

"Why not?"

"Exactly! What... What have you got?"

"Just a little present. Would you like to see?"

"No."

"That's too bad." Irene squirts water straight into Ebony face. She looks proudly at her spray bottle and nods slightly.

"Water. Oh no. It's on me." Ebony sinks slowly onto her knees, guarding her face. A second later she starts crying, actually crying. They can hear it.

"You're welcome." Irene walks back to hiding slightly behind Frost.

"What's wrong, David?" They all watch him as he watches Ebony, eyes wide.

"Everything!" He whispers.

"What?"

"Um. guys? Why is she steaming? Or... smoking?"

"Who?"

"Ebony!" Maple points.

"Irene." Frost turns around and glares at her. "What did you do?"

"Nothing." Irene shrugs.

""Ebony." David sits beside her. "Look at me."

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes. Let me see!"

"Why?" She yells at him.

"Cause it's my fault!" He shouts back.

"How?" She asks, looking up at him. Nothing is wrong.

"Whew! It's not that bad. Okay. I almost died. He lays back looking at the ceiling. "Okay."

"What would have been wrong?"

"Nothing, Midnight. Nothing at all."

"Tell me."
