Carlos Story Part 23

You stare at him, then get what he was saying. Logan had only showed you James, you never knew about Kendall or Carlos until you met him at the restaurant. You had a feeling both Logan and James were hiding something from you.

"Why don't you call James back and ask what he wanted?" Carlos takes your phone and dials James number.

"Um... I don't know about this."

"It won't hurt you"

You bring your pone up to your ear. It rang 5 times until he answered.

"Hey (YN) what's up" he says.

"You called me like three times, is everything ok?"

"Yeah, just wanted to know how you were doing"

"Um are you sure?"

"What are you doing."

You had him on speakers so Carlos could hear everything. Carlos nodded, he wanted you to tell him that you were with him.

"I'm with someone"

"With who?" James asked quickly.

"She's with me" Carlos said when he saw you weren't answering.

"Who's this?" James asked.

"You don't remember me"

"I don't think I do... who are you?" James asked again.

"It's Carlos, from high school?"

"Carlos?!" James said.

"Yeah what's up"

"What are you doing with (YN)"

"Just chilling" he says looking at you, you had a worried look on your face.

"(YN)" James says.

"I'm here" you say softly.

The line became quiet, neither of you guys were talking.

"I'll let you go ok" James said.

"Ok... talk to you another day" you say.

"Yea"

James hangs up, and you stare up at Carlos. He smiles and kisses your forehead.

"You ok?" he asks making sure you were fine.

"I think... Carlos what do you think is going on?"

"I don't know but I'm talking to Logan and James, and Kendall when I see him."

"Please don't do anything stupid"

"I won't, is your dad going to be here in the morning?" he asks.

"He leaves really early"

"Mind if I stay here then?"

"No of course not." you smile and hug him.

The next morning you wake up at 7 and realize your dad was already gone. You wake Carlos up and tell him he had to go before Logan got here.

"Carlos" you whisper.

"Hmm" he moans turning around.

You smile and give him a little push.

"Wake up, you have to go"

"Why" he says facing you.

"Logan's going to be here any minute and I don't want him to find you here."

"You know that's the reason I stayed."

"For what?!"

"To talk to him."

"No, no Carlos not right now please"

"I want to get all this over with I wanna know what he's hiding from you, and well from me I think?"

"Carlos please just - "

Before you could finish your sentence you hear a car door close.
