Letter Twelve

My Alexander,

If you're reading this, then it's already too late. But please, don't mourn. Move on with your life, forget about me. I did what I had to do in order to save all of you, and I would do it again in a heartbeat, even if it didn't get me anywhere. These are the sacrifices I would be willing to make again and again and again, if it meant that you got to live just a day more.

We were never meant to be happy together. But maybe at another time, in another life, we can.

Forever yours,
Thomas
