Chapter 7

Beatrice's POV

Seth and I continued to sit on the swing and tell each other random stories. I glanced over at Kevin and Sam and saw Kevin glaring at Seth. As soon as he saw me looking at him, he turned away. Why is he always like that? He's the one that left when we were already getting along. Then I realized something, where the hell is Chris? He's been gone for like 30 minutes.

Seth pulled me out of my train of thought. "So, the deal earlier..." then he trailed off.

"Fine, what's the question?" I was really hoping he'd forget about it, but nope.

He rubbed the back of his neck and...blushed? He nervously said "Will you go on a date with me?"

I wanted to jump up and down. I mean come on, my crush just asked me on a date. Wouldn't you be jumping up and down if the person you liked asked you out? I acted as if I wasn't interested. I sighed and said "Fine, but only because of the deal." Deep down I was secretly happy.

"Whatever piggy, I know you're secretly happy." he smirked and I blushed. Is this kid reading my mind. He also gave me a new nickname. We had a kdrama marathon night and I forced him to watch 'You're Beautiful' with me. I told him I wanted the Bunnypig JKS made, and thus my nickname. And he also said "I'm calling you piggy cause you eat like every hour." He laughed at me for a good 5 minutes.

"Yeah right. And why would I be happy huh?"

"Well you should, I mean you're on a date with me. You're actually really lucky."

"Wow. You sound just like Kevin now." Seth glared at me while I laughed at his face.

Kevin' POV

[FLASHBACK...That day when Beatrice and Kevin went out for ice cream]

I had a great time with Beatrice today. Who'd known that she was actually really fun to be with. I kept laughing at her reaction when her ice cream fell. She looked so cute.

I was still in the locker room when Chris walked in. I was about to walk out, but then Chris stopped me. "Hey could we talk." he asked seriously.

"Ugh, can't we talk another time. I'm supposed to meet Beatrice outside. We needa get back to the library."

I was almost out the door then Chris blurted out, "Do you like Trish?"

I stood there shocked. How did he find out? Should I lie or just admit the truth? "What are you talking about?"

"Do you like her?" he said through his teeth.

"Of course not! Do you think I'd ever go for a nerd?"

"Good." he said.

"Why would you think I'd like her?" I asked curiously.

"I don't know. She told me you guys went out. And I kinda got jealous. Sorry man."

"Why would you get jealous?"

"Don't tell her, but I kinda like her. Alright man, see you later." Chris left the locker room and I stood there for a couple minutes thinking to myself. I felt jealousy and anger go through my body. I knew he liked her. I have no chance against Chris. I know she'd pick him over me any day. I mean, it's always been like that since we were kids. .
