(Serena POV)

 "Come on, just a little."

 "No!" Deion snaps at me.

"Come on, pleeease! You'll look so cute." I say.

"No Rena, I am not letting you put eyeshadow on me. Especially glitter, do you know how bad my reputation will crash?" He asks me, holding my wrist away from him. I roll my eyes and try to coat his eyelid with the silvery powder.

"Hey," Autumn says walking over to us. "Don't waste my glitter." She snatches the compact from me and places it on the vanity.

It's wednesday, the day of Autumn's ballet recital. We're backstage watching as the girls get all primped and ready for show.

"Aww Autumn, you look cute." Deion says to her.

"Yeah, you look like a fairy." I add on. Her hair was pulled tightly into a neat glossy bun and she sported a flowy, pale pink skirt with a white leotard underneath and white tights.

Autumn blushes a little and twirls around, her skirt puffs out around her knees as she does so. "Let me stop twirling before I throw up. My stomach is already in knots."

"Why? You've been practicing all year for this. You'll be fine." I say to her as she sits down in front of the vanity mirror. She picks up a tube of peach colored lip gloss and smears it across her lips.

"I dunno, this whole week has been stressful. It's like everyone hates me." She says frowning at her reflection.

"I don't hate you." Deion says trying to be hateful.

She gives a small smile and glances at him. "Well with the exception of you two and Jasmine. You know Alicia and Jaida won't even glance at me. It's so awkward to be in class with them."

I roll my eyes and crouch down next to Autumn. "This is your big night, Autumn. You have too much on your plate to be worrying about them right now. Just focus on getting your steps right and not falling off the stage."

Autumn looks at me and giggle. "Wow Rena, your words of encouragement mean so much to me."

"I know," I say beaming at her. Deion leans against the wall as I help Autumn put on the eyeshadow I was just taunting him with.

"Five minutes before show time people, five minutes." One of the show directors calls out.

Autumn jerks forward. "I think I'm gonna throw up."

"Hey, no no no." I say resting my arms on her shoulder. "No you're not. You're fine. Just breath, in and out in and out."

Autumn takes deep breaths and tries to clear her mind. "I'm never this nervous usually, but this time my teacher gave me a solo so now I'm freaking out!"

"A solo? That's perfect, now you can wow everyone and they'll forget all about you sleeping around with Chris." I say. Deion shakes his head at me and I shrug.

"Yup, I'm gonna puke." Autumn says, jumping out her chair. As she whirls around she bumps right into Daniel. Out the corner of my eye I see Deion stand up straight with clenched fist.

"Hey Autumn," Daniel says. She continues to stare at him in shock, her face a mixture of confusion. Daniel clears his throat. "Um, I came back here to wish Destiny look but then I saw you and saw you looking se--."

"Daniel save it." Autumn says crossing her arms. "You left me for that tramp so don't come crawling back now, showering me with compliments."

Daniel lowers his head. "I'm sorry Autumn, I miss you so much. Destiny isn't you."

"Of course she's not me, she's not even the person you think she is." Autumn says. "Back in Virginia, I was the one she was attracted to. I was the one she told me she wanted. And you know what she said about you? That you were inconsiderate because you pushed her to the side like trash. It's bad habit you have."

"What do you mean she's attracted to you?" Daniel asks.

"You heard me nice and clear. She's a lesbian Daniel, she came on to me. She only dated you to get back at me, she couldn't care less what happens to you." Autumn says smirking.

All of our mouths dropped and everyone got quiet. Destiny pushes past some girls and grabs Daniel.

"Baby don't listen to her." Destiny says.

"No, we're over. I don't know what the hell your problem is but you're freakin crazy." Daniel says, yanking his arm away from her and storming out.

Destiny turns to Autumn with a red, angered face. "You're going to regret this."

Autumn shimmies in her flowy skirt. "Bite me," she whispers slyly before lining up with the rest of the girls. Deion and I wish her good luck before going to take our seats in the audience.

The lights dim and the recital begins.

Autum is so smooth when she dances, I was completely in a trance watching her. She smiled and twirled and leaped all across the stage with the rest of her class. I was smiliing the whole time because I knew she would do good all along.

Near the end when it was time for Autumn's solo to come up, she took a step forward at the same time Destiny did. Autumn was caught off guard and stood still as Destiny began doing her steps. My jaw dropped slightly...Destiny is stealing Autumn's solow.

I look at Autumn, her face was red and her fist are clenched as she watches Destiny leap across the stage. She moves quickly and next thing I knew Destiny was pushed off the stage. Everyone gasped and jumped to their feet as Destiny hit the floor. She screamed and cried as people crowded around her.

"I think my ankle's twisted." She says trying to move it. She winces in pain and touches her ankle lightly.

I look up at Autumn, expecting her to be staring at the scene with a horrified look. But instead, she's smirking with her hands on her hips. Shrugging her shoulders she walks off the stage and heads for the exit.

For the first time all week, I think Autumn was genuinely happy.
