(Ray POV)

We step out the white Lexus SUV that Craig has rented for the night and into the humid afternoon air. Dressed up in our black suits with ties that match the color of our girlfriend's dress, we look like some sexy secret agents or something.

It's 7:30 on Friday night. A special friday night actually. It's prom night, the night where the girls try hard to stand out and the night when the boys eat food while praying to get laid afterwards.

Our parents are right behind us, gushing over how grown up and cute we all look. Even my dad and his Fiancé are here along with Tay and my mom. Jacob's mom cant stop snapping pictures and Chris is chattering excitedly with Craig's parents. I roll my eyes, women are such drama queens.

I follow Craig, Jacob and Chris up the stairs to Alicia's house where the girls are all getting ready. Jacob knocks on the door and out comes Alicia's mom. Her eyes turn become bright and a wide smile spreads across her face.

"You all clean up so nicely. You look great in a tux." She says, nodding her head in approval. "The girls should be down in a minute but come in and let me get pictures of you."

Us, along with our parents, go inside Alicia's house. The bass of a Chris Brown song pumps through the house coming from Leesha's room as their parents greet ours. It like one big meet and greet inside this hot living room.

"How come girls go crazy when we're not on time but then yell at us when we go crazy when they're not on time?" I ask annoyed.

Chris shrugs. "Cuz they're girls man. They live in their own world."

"Then I'd rather date a boy." Craig says sighing. Me, Jacob amd Chris slowly turn their heads to look at him. Craig smiles awkwardly towards them. "I'm kidding, jeez."

"Mhm, I'm tellin Jasmine you want the D." Chris says taking a step away from Craig.

Craig laughs. "Chill kid."

Suddenly the music from upstairs abruptly stops playing and we hear a door open. The soft click of heels sound above our heads before slowly descending down the stairs.

Alicia appears first in her deep red dress followed by Jasmine in teal, Tamara in black and gold then Jaida in light pink. Our parents break out in 'awws' and immediately start taking pictures as our girlfriends walk into the living room.

"Someone cleans up nicely." Alicia says as I take her hand and admire how beautiful she looks.

"I was thinking the same thing about you." I say kissing her cheek. "If you look this good in a prom dress I can't wait to see what you look like in a wedding dress."

A smile grows on her face and I kiss her gently. Her mother lets out an over exaggerated 'aww' and Alicia rolls her eyes.

"Ok everyone get together, we're making memories tonight." Jaida's mom exclaims as she aims the camera at us.

Chris smirks a little. "Yes the hell we are." He mutters, Tamara shoots him a questioning look and he just smiles. He winks at me and I already know what he means.

We all huddle together and smile for the camera. After a few minutes my cheeks starts to hurt and my smile falls slightly. Alicia glances at the time. "We should go guys. Its cool to be fashionably late but not a whole year late."

"True, plus I'm starting to sweat from all this hot air." Jaida says.

"Then close your mouth." I say playfully. She flicks the back of my head and I karate chop her hand away from me. Another flash goes off and we all wince.

"Jeezus ma, you've taken enough pictures to fill two scrapbooks." Leesha says wincing. Her mother shrugs and snaps another picture.

After a few more minutes we head out to the car with our parents trailing behind.

Jasmine's mom sigh heavily. "It's like just yesterday I was cleaning up Jasmine's puddles that she made around the house while running around butt naked."

"Damn Jas, you freaky like that?" Chris asks. Jasmine's face turns as red as Alicia's dress as she swats my arm with strong force.

"Now are you sure you don't want me to chaperone?" Chris's mom ask. "Cuz I'm down with yall. I can jerk, superman, wobble and twerk."

Chris whirls around. "Whatchu you know about twerkin though?" He asks as we die laughing.

Mrs. August bends over slightly and starts dancing. "Bandz a make ha dance!"

"No no no no, stop before you break your back. Get in the car yall, you don't need to see this." Chris exclaims.

Mrs. August laughs. "Dontcha wish your girlfriend was hot like me?" She sings. We start laughing even harder as Chris pushes us into the car.

After saying goodbye to our parents we make the 20 minute ride to our school. When we finally make it there it's packed with cars, rented and owned by students, parents and chaperones. By now we're all excited to just go inside and have fun.

We go inside to find that the gym has been completely transformed. The white and gold decorations makes everything seem elegant while twinkling lights hang along the walls and glitter dust the floor. It's dim and the candles on the tables gave a nice glow as the strobe lights make the gym look like a big rave room.

Serena, Autumn and Deion run up to us and exchange hugs. Serena sports a body hugging navy dress while Autumn wears a flowy, knee length silver dress.

The girls start babbling about eachothers outfits and freaking out about how nice the gym looks. My eyes are actually fixed on snack table a few feet away. Just then Trey Songz '2 Reasons' come on and Tamara gets excited. "Ayyye, my song." She says starting to dance a little. She grabs Jaida arms and rushes into the middle of all the dancing bodies as fast as she can in her heels. Soon the girls are all dancing like no body's watching and really getting into it.

"I don't know bout yall, but I wanna get in on that action." I say jerking my chin in the direction of Alicia who was hip rolling to Trey Songz voice. I hear the boys laugh as I pimp walk over to Alicia and wraps my arms around her waist. Craig has wandered off to the snack table along with Jasmine where they devour the chocolate covered fruit.

Tamara and Jaida walk over to Jacob and Chris and grab their hands, forcing them to go to the dance floor with them. They stand there awkwardly, watching as everyone dances around them.

"You can't come to prom and not dance. That kind of defeats the purpose." Jaida says pouting.

"I can't dance though." Jacob lies. Jaida narrows her eyes doubtfully and begins dancing on him. His eyes grow wide and his eyebrows raise so high they nearly reach his hair line.

"Fine, then I'll go find someone else who can dance." Jaida says beginning to walk away. Jacob yanks her back by her wrist abd begins dancing like a maniac. Jaida laughs as he flails his arms all over the place like a spazz.

It takes everyone a minute to really get into the dancing but once they warm up everyone is twerking, whining, grinding, shaking, dougieing, beefin it up and a whole lot more. The songs went from the electric slide to the cha cha slide, to the Wobble to the Superman to the cat daddy. It was pure fun for everybody. Jacob is still goofing off, dancing like he has no limbs.

"Stop dancing like that before we put you in a mental institute." I say to him.

He pulls away from Jaida and shoots me a look. "You wanna battle bro?"

"Hell yeah," I say stepping up to him. "Clear the floor." I demand to everyone.

They quickly clear a path and make a circle around us. The song changes to Pop That and the battle begins. Everyone was cheering and clapping, some are even recording us. Jacob actually starts dancing for real now, showing off some moves from his hip hop class. I was having way more fun than I thought I would tonight.

(No One's POV)

"Alright, we're gonna slow things down for all the love birds out here." The DJ says before scratching the record and playing 'I Have Nothing' by Whitney Houston.

Autumn watches as her friends couple up on the dance floor and snuggle up close to each other, swaying to Whitney's gentle voice. She smiles as Jasmine rest her head against Craig's shoulder and he kisses her forehead. Her eyes scan the crowd again and land on Tamara and Chris. No matter how much she wants to deny it, there will always be a little part of her still attached to Chris. He was her first, you can never forget your first. But of course she was happy that Tamara and Chris were a couple now. They balances each other out in a way no one else could. But Autumn felt lonely knowing that that could have been her.

Out the corner of her eye, Autumn sees a hand extend to her. She turns slightly and find Daniel reaching out towards her. Her face automatically turns into a scowl and Daniel sighs.

"It's just a dance Autumn. I don't bite, I promise." He says. As much as her head screamed at her to run away, Autumn takes Daniel's hand and allows him to lead her to the dance floor. He rest his hands lightly on her waist and they sway back and forth.

"I never got to apologize to you." Daniel says. "I-I owe you the biggest apology in the world Autumn. What I did to you...you didnt deserve that, I'm sorry. I don't expect your forgiveness because I don't deserve it. I just want you to know that I left you for a girl who doesn't even compare to you."

His breath brushes against her ear and she winces. "I can't hate you Daniel. I'm not that kind of person. But I cant trust you either, you cut too deep."

"I know and I'm sorry. That's...that's all I have to say." He says with a low voice. "I miss you Autumn. I just want to be friends again."

Translation: Let's be civil to each other and just ignore the horrible fall of our relationship while slowly forgetting that the other exist.

Autumn rolls her eyes. "Sure Daniel." She feels his arms squeeze her gently in a hug as the song ends and switches to Nicki Minaj Superbass. Daniel flashes a smile and thanks her for the dance before heading off into the crowd.
