It was past sunset, the hospital walls seem somewhat duller than before. With less people around, it was a bit quieter than the last time Xiao Zhan has visited.

His hands are full, one clutching a freezing carrot juice making his right hand numb, while the other carries a pot of hyacinth's sprout.

He was about to enter the familiar white door, when it sprung open almost hitting his face, a slender woman bumped into his shoulder, running as she left, while the man inside shouted, "Get Lost! Don't you ever come back! I don't need anyone's pity!"

Xiao Zhan's gaze followed the woman's figure as she clumsily left.

"Isn't she Jennie Liu? The front cover of last month's issue of a teenage magazine?" a lady in white whispered to her colleague, which was loud enough for Zhan to hear.

Her colleague, agreed, "Yes. That's her! How unfortunate his boyfriend is so rude to her!"

"Tsk. He is in an unfortunate situation, let us be considerate.", the other intervened.

Just then, they saw Zhan looking their way, a sly and embarassed smile crossed their faces. The older lady approached Zhan, and in a hushed voice warned, "That young man is in his worst mood today, if it isn't urgent, do you mind coming back later? Let him calm himself first."

Zhan has known the patient from years before, and hasn't heard him shout madly like that. His personality isn't the best, but it wasn't the type to yell 'Get lost' to anyone. It made him curious and worried at the same time.

Also, his hand is already numb from clutching the carrot juice, and he believes it tastes best when still pretty chilled. Thus, he could not heed her and wait.

He politely bowed to the nurse and continued his way inside the room.

It was dark inside. The lights are off, the windows and curtains closed. He can barely make out the silhouette of the person within.

"Get out! I told you to get lost, didn't I?!" Wang Yi Bo hoarsely shouted to the figure by the door, not even turning his head to see who was standing there.

The door closed silently, and the room fell silent again. Wang Yi Bo let out a grunt of anger, punching the bed with his good left hand.

"Don't break the other arm as well." a gentle yet familiar voice reprimanded.

Wang Yi Bo thought he had heard wrong. He squinted his eyes in the darkness looking for the source of the voice, his heart clashing loud inside it's cage, 'How could he be...?'

"G-Gege?" he shamefully asked to the man on his side. The term made the two hearts beat faster for reasons only they can understand.

The man remained where he was, his usual gentle smile is nowhere to be seen. He was looking at Yi Bo with a concerned look.

Xiao Zhan scanned Wang Yi Bo's face. The scratches have now formed scabs on top, the bruise on his cheek appearing less dark but more purplish, his hair--a mess, his face and lips look paler than ever, his eyes sunken, his jaw and cheek more pronounced. He had gotten thinner in a short span of 7 days.

Xiao Zhan can only let out a sigh. "Are you not eating well?"

"D-Don't bother." Yi Bo averted his gaze. He felt so exposed, that he can't hide anything from those beautiful brown eyes.

In truth, he had stopped eating since yesterday, and had skipped numerous meals in the past days. Surprisingly, he doesn't feel hungry, nor thirsty. He just usually sleeps, day and night. He skips his therapy and medicines. Either shout at or ignore the doctors and nurses who come to see him. He has sent away all the visitors who came. He was like a living corpse in that dark room.

Words weren't said, but Zhan had understood his thoughts.

"Here." he handed Yi Bo the carrot juice. "For you."

Yi Bo seemed unwilling to accept, and so Zhan lifted his left hand and gently forced him to take the juice. To his suprise, Yi Bo threw the drink away, splashing the liquid on Xiao Zhan's neat clothes before messing the floor.

Yi Bo halted for a split second repenting, but hastily regained his glare. Eyes dim, he shouted, "Get out!"

Deep inside, Xiao Zhan, wanted to walk away, hurt by those two words and Yi Bo's cold gaze. But he hasn't served his purpose of coming there yet. With endurance, he upheld his patience. He turned the lights on and started getting napkins to clean the mess on the floor.

Meanwhile, Yi Bo just kept on gritting his teeth, fuming yet anxious at the same time. He felt the air in the room, suffocating. He wanted to run away, but God knows he can't with his broken limbs!
