That night in the hospital was pretty rough. They didn't realise just how much a baby cried or needed attention. But they also didn't realise that someone could ever feel this much love for a tiny little baby.
Jen managed to get up to change jacksons diaper once, but couldn't do it again because she was still very sore after having pushed him out. However justin was great with the diapers and although court had to help him alot he really started getting it. Courteney left at about 4 in the morning to get some rest but promised she'd visit when they got settled in at home.

"Ugh, I just love the smell of him" said jen looking down at Jackson asleep in her arms.
"This is all so crazy. But we finally did it and now we have a family of our own" said justin sliding into the small bed beside jen stroking jacksons head of black hair lightly. Jen thought he had Justin's forehead and hair and justin thought he had jens eyes and nose.
"But now we have to figure out how to announce this" said jen worriedly, looking into Justin's eyes.
"I have an idea but let's wait at least a week. I want to make the most of this time" he replied.

Jen fell asleep and justin took Jackson out her arms and went to sit in the chair next to the bed.
He sat staring at both jen and Jackson sleeping and wondered how he could be so lucky. He also thanked God for letting the birth run smoothly and for giving them a healthy gorgeous baby boy.
The nurse came in, interrupting Justin's thoughts saying "you should be able to go home this afternoon, so if you'd like to get your stuff together that would be great"
"Yes that's great thankyou" said justin getting up and carefully placing Jackson in the hospital provided crib.

Justin was just putting the last of jens stuff in the bag when he heard the door opening, he turned around to see andrea.
"Hi, I'm guessing he's been born" she said looking over at the peaceful, sleeping jen.
"Yes" whispered justin so as not to wake jen, beckoning drea towards him. She looked down at her godson and started to cry as she stroked his little hand.
"He's perfect" she said hugging justin.
"I know" replied jen from behind them who had just woken up.
"Hi hun, look I'm so unbelievably proud of you. After everything that you've gone through, you've found a great guy and now have a little family of your own. I'm so happy for you" said dre crying as she hugged jen who was now also crying again.
Jen slowly got out of bed and put her clean sweats on before walking over to Jackson and changing him into his onesie that they'd picked out for him to go home in, it was a cute grey one that said 'mommy's boy' in gold writing.
Jen then fed jackson while chatting to dre about what she missed with the labour.
"Not much just alot of screaming and crying and pain" chuckled jen as Jackson drank her breast milk.

After burping him jen passed him over to drea while she brushed her teeth and tied her hair back.
"He looks so much like both of you, its weird." Said dre staring into Jacksons eyes.
"I'll be back in a sec jen, I'm going to get the car seat"
"Ok, but make sure the paps don't see you" she called from the little sink, her mouth full of toothpaste.
"Jen they don't even know we're here"
"Actually I think one or two may have followed me" chipped in drea "and I know one followed me and court yesterday"
"I'll be careful, I promise" said justin as he left the room.
Andrea didn't say much she just sat cradling jackson, thinking about how lucky he was to have a mum and dad who cared so much.
"So are you going to tell me his name?"
"Oh yeah sorry" said jen now putting her trainers on "its Jackson issac theroux" she smiled.
"Awe, he definitely looks like a jackson" replied dre "he's incredibly small though, how much did he weigh?"
"6pound 2oz I think they said"
"Oh wow" said drea kissing his button nose before handing him back to jen who just stood bouncing him lightly as he started to fall asleep.

Justin finally came back with the car seat and placed it on the bed for jen to put Jackson in, she wrapped him in a blanket then placed a blanket over the car seat for the babies privacy.
"Were there any paps?"
"No, none"
"Right I think we're ready" said jen checking around the room for anything they missed.
"Are you coming back to ours andrea?" Asked justin picking up the car seat.
"Oh no, I gotta run and do some errands."

They left the hospital through the back just in case and while jen was slowly climbing into the car justin buckled the car seat in, which was actually alot easier than he thought it would be. He put Jacksons pacifier back in his mouth and climbed into the drivers seat.
The drive home was lovely, there was a new atmosphere now that they had a baby. It was more peaceful and zen.
They arrived home and justin walked with jen on one arm and Jackson on the other, just like he had dreamed.
"Welcome home buddy" said jen as they walked in.
Justin placed the hospital bag and car seat down and jen picked up Jackson and placed him in the little rocker they'd bought.
He stayed asleep for most of the evening, except for when he needed changing or feeding.
Jen and justin lay on the sofa, cuddled up under the blanket looking at Jackson asleep, wondering how they got so lucky.
"What shall we have for tea gorgeous?" Asked justin
"We haven't got anything in, we should've gone shopping"
"Hey no, it's fine I'll go now"
Justin grabbed his jacket, gave jen a passionate kiss and left.

When he got back he couldn't find either of them anywhere. He placed the groceries on the kitchen island and went upstairs, the little night stars were on in the nursery and when justin opened the door the most beautiful scene met his eyes.
Jen was sat on the rocking chair, slowly rocking while feeding Jackson, but the part that got justin was that jen was lightly humming to him.
Jen looked up and smiled at justin in the doorway with tears in her eyes, "I'll be through in a minute just going to put him to bed after he's finished."
About 15 minutes later jen went downstairs to find justin lying on the couch asleep. It had been a tiring 24 hours for both of them.
She placed the baby monitor on the coffee table and snuggled up to justin, falling asleep in his arms. That is until Jackson started crying again...

The first week was a rough couple of nights filled with incredible days.
Jackson struggled sleeping at night, often crying and was always hungry but court persuaded jen this was normal. Nearly everytime justin would get up but jen tried to take it in turns with him. The days were filled with visits from many of their friends gushing over how adorable he was. They weren't allowed to take any pictures though because jen and justin wanted to be the first to announce, they also gave Jackson his first bath and even got a little smile out of him.
At the end of the week on September 11th jen went into Justin's office after putting Jackson down again and sat on his lap.
They still hadn't announced that he was born so in the public eye jen was 2 days late, the media was going crazy.
"Hey I think it's time"
"Really?"
"Yes, we're still going to announce on my Instagram right?"
"Yes of course, well if you're ready i am" said jen watching justin write the caption then.....post.
The post became the most liked picture on Instagram and also broke the record for the picture to get the most amount of likes in such short time. It was really kind of scary but now they were embarking on a new adventure and knew that they now had to take more care for Jackson.
