Yes, I know.

I just want you all to be prepared for the Logan and Virgil angst later.

WARNING! TONS OF ANGST AHEAD (I almost cried)

Deceit'ssssssss POV

TW: Death mention, suicide mention, self harm mention

Roman and I walked through the imagination, trying to get to Logan's room before something happens. Unfortunately, Logan's room was the farthest away from the imagination, as he thought ill of most creative thinking.

Roman had a look of fear and relief on his face. He was scared for Logan's sake, and most likely relieved because I had not asked him about what had happened.

Well that's about to change.

¨Why would you do that?" I asked him.

He sighed heavily. His eyes already looked like they were about to flood with tears. And by asking him, I had made it worse.

Still, he answered me, ¨It's just.. I've gotten so fed up. I hate that everyone thinks I'm so confident, and I feel like the only way people listen to me, is if I make others unheard.¨

Me, having the ability to shut people up, could relate to this. Believe me, it's really helpful when Remus is going on a rant about some stupid thing (aka everything he says), but still, I wish I did not have to use it to be heard.

Roman gave a sad, dry laugh. ¨And then there was Romulus...¨

¨Who?¨

¨Of course you don't remember. Nobody remembers. But I remember. I miss him every day. He made me feel so alive. He made me a good person.¨

¨Roman.. Talk to me.¨ I coaxed.

Roman took a deep breath. ¨There used to be three of us. Three creativities. Romulus was... My brother.¨

¨But you only have one brother, Remus.¨

¨He was my older brother,¨ Roman stuttered out, ¨The purest form of imagination. He was all sunshine and rainbows. Thomas's imaginary friend.¨

My mind started to form a picture. I saw a young, teenage boy with a warm smile. What happened to that smile?....

Roman answered that question for me. ¨If Inside Out has taught you anything, you know that as you get older, imaginary friends..¨

I completed his sentence. ¨....Fade away.¨

I started to understand. Roman's older brother had died. And on top everything Roman feels horrible about, he desperately wants to see his brother again.

¨But it's not even just that he died!¨ At this point, Roman was sobbing, ¨He seemed to do it.. on purpose. He wanted Thomas to forget him!.. He wanted to die, Deceit. THE KINDEST PERSON I HAVE EVER MET WANTED TO DIE, AND TO THIS DAY, REMUS AND I FEEL LIKE IT'S OUR FAULT! I.. feel like it's my fault.. Rommy...¨

I cupped his face in my hands. ¨Roman, love, it's not your fault. It's not. I'm sure Romulus was a wonderful person, but his unfortunate death wasn't your fault. Okay?¨

He pulled me into a kiss.

¨Thank you.. so much.¨ He said.

¨It's because I care about you.¨ I replied.

He smiled. Not a fake smile, but one of real happiness. ¨So, let me guess, the author is trying to keep people in suspense again?¨

¨Oh yeah,¨ I laughed. ¨For sure.¨

In all this, we seemed to forget about Logan and Virgil.

CRAP.
