It was Will but he was hurt. I rushed over to him.

"What happened to you?"

"I was punished for a mistake." He muttered half stumbling towards me.

"Are you sure you're alright?" I questioned with concern. "I know how much it hurts. Especially when it's Maccus he prides himself on how much pain he is able to inflict."

"It was my father," I could tell the words seemed a little foreign to him. He looked like he'd seen a ghost.

"Your father?"

"Bootstrap Bill."

"He was always the nice one and I'm sure he wasn't given much choice in the matter of hurting you. If anything you're lucky it was him and not someone else trust me," I reasoned. "Now sit down and let me see what I can -"

"Will, what happened to you?" Ngaio asked stepping out of her hiding place.

"Nothing don't worry I'm fine," Will dismissed.

"Bullshit, " Ngaio and I said in sync.

"How do you two know each other?" I asked forcing Will to sit down on a crate so I can check his wounds. Thankfully they weren't too bad but they would still hurt.

"We met before you came aboard, " Ngaio explained.

"Makes sense, " I shrugged.

"So what's the plan?" Ngaio asked eagerly.

"Bold of you to assume I came over with a plan, " I smirked.

"Well if we're anything alike then I really shouldn't expect you to have a plan, " she laughed.

"I may have one, " Will said.

"Care to share, " Ngaio said.

Will explained the game all the crew play to pass the time I was mildly familiar with it, unlike Ngaio. He said that he would use it to find out where the key was.

"That sounds good but what are you going to offer him, Will?"

"It doesn't matter. Now Ngaio you need to stay here. Celeste, you come with me, " Will said.

"I'm not staying here, " Ngaio argued.

"Yes, you are Ngaio. Dad doesn't know you're here and I'd like to keep it that way, " I stated.

Ngaio agreed reluctantly and went back to her hiding place. Will and I went to find where all the crew we gathered playing their usual game.

"Have you worked it out yet?" Bill asked.

"It's a betting game but you are betting against everyone's dice, "

"What are they betting with, " Will asked.

"Years of service it's the only thing they have worth betting with, " I replied.

"Can you challenge anyone, " Will asked and his father nodded.

"I challenge Davy Jones!" he announced.

"Will that is not a good idea, " I whispered angrily.

"You challenge me?" Jones asked. Will stepped forward and nodded.

"I do, " he said with confidence. "What are the stakes?" Jones asked trying to contain his amusement.

"My soul, a lifetime of servitude, " Will proposed.

"And what do you want?" My father asked suspiciously.

"I want this, " Will said throwing the cloth with key drawing toward Jones.
