Chapter 17

Erika's POV
the next morning, I wake up next to jake. He smells SOO good. My alarm went off, and we both woke up and got ready for school. I wore this:

Jakes POV
I woke up to Erika's alarm. She was already up & getting ready. I got ready and put on clothes I left at her house:

We both got ready, and I grabbed our bags. We got into Erika's jeep and headed to school. When we arrived, there was sirens. A lot of them. We sat in the Jeep for a bit, but then they pulled someone out of the school on a stretcher; it was kade. Why the hell was he here?! I get out of the Jeep, and I run towards the crowd. I push my way thru, and kade doesn't look to good. I grab his hand.

J) what happened?! Why are you here?!
K) dude. Drew jumped me.

Fucking Drew. He's the teams football captain, also known as the biggest fuck boy in our school.

J) where is he? *raises voice*
K) football field.

I see erika coming up behind me. But I drop my bag and I run. I run straight to the football field. I look back, and Erika is chasing me. I don't stop though. I stop Drew sitting on the bleachers in the corner on his phone. I jump the fence, and I land on top of him. I grab him by his neck as we roll down the bleachers. I pin him on the ground, and I punch him. I don't stop. Eventually, I notice him closing his eyes. But did I stop? No. I spit in his face. Erika pulls me back, and pushes me to the ground. She motions for the crowd to come down and help drew. Drew wasn't breathing.

E) someone call 911!

Grayson walks over to me, and he grabs me.

G) jake we gotta get out of here!

Grayson and I run to his car. Anthony is in the driver seat & ready to go. They drive me to my house, and I grab all the stuff I need.

J) your gonna get in trouble for this you know
G) I'm aware *looks in rear view mirror*
A) jake, you gotta chill with the fighting.
J) he jumped my friend bro *sighs*

Grayson drives us to the hospital that kade is in. I asked him to stop by before we go. I get to Kades room, and he's weak. I grab him hand and I look at him.

J) kade, dont worry man. I'm here.
K) jake I'm sorry
J) don't be. I took care of it.

The doctor comes in.

D) Kade, you will be leaving in 2 days. We need you to rest up.

He leaves.

K) you beat him up?
J) of course bro.

Kade daps me up

K) what are you gonna do?
J) Drew wasn't breathing.

Kade sits up and he's in shock.

K) you didn't-
J) I did *sighs*
K) if he dies you'll go to jail!
J) I know.

I took at the time, we need to go before the police gets here.

J) if anyone asks, I'm not here, and u didn't hear from me. We have to go before the cops get here.
K) I love you, stay safe.

We all run back to the car. The ambulance was just pulling in. But then; I saw Erika's Jeep. I watched her get out. I asked them to stop. I rolled down my window, Erika wouldn't look at me.

J) Erika, I love you.
E) ....
J) you'll probably never see me again. I'm sorry, it was wrong.

I see erika tearing up. I get out, and I hug her. She hugs back.

J) I gotta get out of here before they come get me. If you never see me again, move on. I'm not worth it.

I turn my back, as I'm about to walk away she gently grabs my hand. She smashes her lips against mine, and tears fall down from her eyes. I see the cops, and I quickly get in the car and we drive away.

Erika's POV
What the hell. First off all, jake literally will get arrested. And I'm not bailing him out this time. I stand there in shock, as he drives away. I notice he's with Grayson and Anthony wtf. I rush into the hospital, and I pay for all of the doctors bills. It's the least I can do since my ex boyfriend just jumped him.
