"You'd look better if you smiled" "No, not like that, properly." these phrases and one similar to them plagued your day. It wasn't your fault that your smile only looked good if you were genuinely happy. Otherwise it tended to look more like a smirk, but not the cool kind, the kind of one that makes it look like you're up to something. Sadly, you hadn't had a reason to smile as of late, You weren't doing as good as you would have liked in your classes, you hadn't found the energy to do anything at all really.. You still put up the act of being okay, slightly turning the corners of your lips to hide the tired frown that would have been there. It amazed you how easy it was to fool everyone, even your family and your closest friends. As you walk through the street absentmindedly, trying to think of a reason to smile. You wondered to the park you used to play at when you were younger. You took a seat on the swing set, lightly moving back and forth. Memories played behind your eyes, a time where it was easier to be happy.
