"Can you help me with something?" You asked Rebbeca, she gave you a quizzing look. "You never need help." she replied, turning around in her chair to give you her full attention. "Well I need help now." you let out a sigh before taking a deep breath. "You know how to get over someone, right?" her eyes squint for a second, memories of her last relationship quickly playing in her mind, she gives you a nod before you continue. "I caught feelings for someone, but I don't want to ruin the friendship because of a bunch of chemicals." You say, head falling into the palms of your hands. "How long have you liked them?" She asks you, she knows how much you dislike the idea of being in love. You could take care of yourself, you didn't need someone to be dependent on, or for them to depend on you. "A year." You say, hands still holding your head. "How long have you been trying to get over them?" You keep silent, tilting your head up a bit. "A year." You deadpan. She looks at you with sad eyes. "Hate to break it to you, but I can't help." You return to your curled up form. The chemicals in your brain were determined to keep this person on your mind 24/7.
