"Is there anything I can do?" Tim asked, holding his friends hand, her mind had been broken and with the help of doctors and nurses they'd started to put it back together. The blue eyed female looked up to her friend, memories that had bits and pieces missing flooded into her mind. The voices of those that surrounded her in said memories sounded like static, with only a few words and sentences seeping through it all. Tears started to fall in slow streams down her face, she's paler than she used to be, a mix of her mental state and the lack of vitamin D. The boy brought his friend in for a tender hug. "Is there something I can do to make you more comfortable?" it hurt him to see her like this, so fragile, almost like she didn't use to leap off roof tops for fun. Ashley's head dropped. "No," She said, shaking her head. "The only way that I know I'm alive anymore is because I hurt." the tears that slowly streamed down her face fastened. "Anything that takes away my pain will only make it worse." She continued, raising her voice but keeping it low enough to not be heard by the nurses. "If I go numb, I might as well be underneath the dirt." She raises her head and leads into the embrace. The two teens stayed there for awhile, ashley balling her eyes out and Tim doing everything in his power not to.
