It was like any other day in a competitive class. People were ranting on how their opponent cheated when they had done the very same last week. Others were having discussions on new tactics and newfound loopholes. This was the everyday life of anyone attending Alison's Academy, where if you had a problem with someone, you'd sort it out in a duel. Sure there were things the students had to learn, like basic common, Elvish and one other language of their choice, small spells that most magic users had mastered at the ages between three and five years old. As well as battle tactics. After all, these fine students would become the knights of the land.
"Clover fawn." A voice the girl always wished would shut up said. She looked up from her desk with her brown, doe-like eyes. "What do you want Miller?" She asked, already knowing what was going to happen. "I want a rematch." He replied as if the entire room didn't know what was happening. It was at times like these Clover wished that she wasn't top of all her classes. "Fine." the girl said in a dull and bored tone. They moved to the courtyard and a couple of fellow students had followed them. Once there, Clover drew her Rapier as Miller unsheathed his longsword. They stood still for a few seconds, staring blankly or with determination. A bystander yelled at them to start and so they did. Miller dashed at his full speed to Clover, he swung his sword high, as he thought the was going to jump to avoid his attack as she often did, but she instead ducked, sweeping him off his feet with a swift kick before standing back up, holding her own sword at his neck. "Are we done yet?" She yawned, wanting to go back to magic studies. Miller kicked her sword out of her hand. While he thought he could take his time getting up, Clover was well and truly done. "Deditionem". With that Miller stopped and gave up altogether, surrendering to the annoyed girl. "That's no fair!" One of the boy's friends yelled. But they all knew that you should never expect a fight to be truly fair.
