Y/N's POV:
Lloyd and I sat at a large booth in the corner of a new coffee shop. It was a lively burnt sienna color with grey frames to the large windows that stood outside the multiple booths and seats scattered around the cafe.
Lloyd decided t try out while we waited for the gang to meet us here after school ended. The coffee shop was called some weird name like Hotté Latte, but it had good reviews so we decided to go their.
I engaged in slight small talk with Lloyd but the both of us stayed quiet most of the time. Occasionally I would stare at him without realizing it and he would catch me, only for me to quickly look at something else and blush while the awkward silence continued.
A few times a waiter would walk over to us and ask me if I wanted anything, to which I would politely decline and say that I was waiting for a few people. They would spare a glance at Lloyd then back at me, and a disgusted look would appear on their face before retreating back into the kitchen.
It was safe to say that this coffee shop wasn't as good as everyone say it is. Then again, not everyone is the son of Lord Garmadon/the secret Green Ninja.
Five loud teenagers shut their mouths as they entered the coffee shop because of the annoyed stares of the customers. Those teenagers quietly walked over to us and sat down at our booth squishing me and Lloyd into the wall.
"So, how was school?" Lloyd said, gasping for air as he was squished between Kai and the hard wall.
"Good good, what about you? How was the Principle's Office?" Kai smirked.
"Lloyd your such a naughty kid!" Cole said as Lloyd rolled his eyes.
"Does this mean that Y/N is into bad boys?" Jay added as I hid my face behind my hands before it could go red from embarrassment.
"Come on guys, stop harassing the love birds; besides, it was Y/N who got them sent to the office so technically Lloyd is into bad girls. Isn't that right Lloyd?" Nya said as she scooted into the seat next to me.
"You guys are insufferable," Lloyd whined as he punched Kai's shoulder.
"Yeah, we like to make sure you know that," Zane say as he finally takes a seat on the end of our booth.
Somehow, we were able to fit all seven of us in one booth on the table. Cole, Kai, and Lloyd sat on one side of the table while me, Nya, Jay, and Zane sat on the other side.
"Oh Y/N, Lloyd, apparently in all the English classes they are making you read an annotate a book," Cole spoke up, once our laughing settled down.
"What book?" I asked, taking my hands away from my eyes.
"You think I would listen to that part? Pfft, who do you think I am? A good student?" Cole chuckled.
"Do you at least know who the author is?" Lloyd questioned Cole, annoyed.
"Isn't it some person named Reel Lieph?" Jay spoke up.
"Um- yeah I think it is," Cole nodded.
"Come on guys, let's stop talking about school! Besides, we have a lot of other... things to talk about," Nya lowered her voice and looked at me.
