AN: So, I totally suck at putting texts in fics.  But I tried.  *shrug*  Hopefully it doesn't suck too much.

Editing 3/2/20 - Fixing some typos and adding a few extra words here and there during the Avengers Assembly scene at the end.  Nothing that changes the story.

How had it gone so horribly wrong? How in every circle of Hell had it come to this? Namjoon sat on the edge of his bed with his head held between shaking hands, feeling sick to his stomach. His phone sat by his thigh, screen dark and silent.

He hadn't told Jackie what had happened. That would have been disastrous. Guilt over what he did warred with the guilt of not fessing up to it. It was bad enough he had lost his mind and practically jumped Jin but to keep it hidden from his husband was another level of terrible.

He should tell him.

He would rather sit through a children's choir rehearsal while undergoing a root canal with no Novocain than tell Jackie he had cheated.

Even just thinking the word caused his stomach to twist painfully. Forcing himself to his feet, he stumbled into the bathroom and splashed his face with icy water. Dripping, he leaned against the counter, staring at his reflection.

'Is this really the person I've become?' He could barely look at himself. 'After everything he's done for you, you tumble with the first guy to give you any sort of attention?'

He should just pack his things and head back to Seoul. Jackie wasn't going to be done in Hong Kong now until the end of the week. His ill-timed call was to explain that the negotiations were going longer than planned.

Namjoon was halfway through stuffing shirts into a suitcase when he paused. What would he accomplish by going home? He'd end up sitting in their empty apartment, like usual, waiting for Jackson to get back later than anticipated. He could do that from Cheongug just as successfully as from Seoul. And the air was cleaner on Jeju.

The only issue with staying put was Seokjin. In Seoul, at least, he couldn't be tempted by the concierge.

His lip curled involuntarily. Tempted? As if he couldn't control himself? He was better than that. It was one momentary lapse in judgement, letting himself obey instinct rather than logic or morals. He was, generally, a good person. Behaving himself wouldn't be hard.

He would need to talk to Jin, though. Apologize and tell him it couldn't happen again. They were both adults; they could have a civil conversation about this huge mistake. Then Namjoon could happily go on with his life and forget that it ever happened. That would be best.

With a deep sigh, he unpacked the bag and picked up his phone, intending to send Jin a text asking to talk, having exchanged numbers earlier that day. A new message notification distracted him, however, and he quickly opened it.

Tae

Tae: Hyung! Hello??

He smiled and shot back a quick "hello." Almost immediately, his text tone bleeped.

Tae

Tae:
Hyung!
Come to the stables!

Namjoon:
Why?
Everything ok?

Tae:
Yup!
Look what just happened!
Come see her!

Tae:Yup!Look what just happened!Come see her!
