Nandini Gupta and Ashish Sood had an arranged marriage much to the disappointment of Ashish who had to leave Miranda his girlfriend.

Ashish's father knew about Miranda but knew immediately she was after his money so he forced Ashish to break up with her and marry Nandini who happens to be the daughter of a late friend and former business partner.

Nandini was a mixture of traditional and modern, an intelligent and beautiful woman.

Ashish who had to let go off Miranda on her insistence because she knew if they went ahead with their relationship then Ashish's father will disinherit him which she didn't want as she loved Ashish's money and not him.

Ashish got married to Nandini but hated her for being according to him the reason he had to leave the woman he loves.

Miranda and Ashish continued their illicit affair even after his marriage with Nandini.

Eleven months after their marriage Nandini got pregnant and gave birth to a son who was named Durga by his grandfather.

Nandini's happiness and joy knew no bounds but to Ashish, Durga's birth was to wash away his father's suspicion of his affair with Miranda.

Miranda was furious when she heard the news but calmed down after Ashish explained to her that  Durga's birth was just a diversion for them to continue their relationship and avoid being disinherited by his father.

Almost five years after Durga's birth Ashish's father died tragically in an accident on his way from a meeting.

A now eight months pregnant Nandini was devastated because of the death of her father in law who was more of a father than an in law.

Ashish was sad but also happy knowing he can finally be with Miranda who was also five months pregnant with their first child.

Ashish was prepared to divorce Nandini after she gave birth and provide her enough money to go away with their children so that he can finally marry Miranda but the true face of Miranda was revealed when the Ashish was told the Soods had lost everything they owned because of a Ponzi scheme.

This shocked Ashish and he went to Miranda's house to inform her about it and when he did Miranda who knew Ashish will no longer be able to provide the luxurious lifestyle anymore got furious and told him the truth that she didn't love him but his money and that he should forget about her and should not worry about his baby because another rich man will raise him as his.

An indication that Ashish was not the only man in Miranda's life. A broken Ashish went home in shock, tears and regret.

When he got home he asked Nandini to leave as he had no money to offer her anymore but Nandini who was truthfully in love with him never left him and promised to stay by him through the good times and the bad times.

This made Ashish guilty for cheating on Nandini with Miranda. He changed and started to gave more attention to his wife and a few weeks later he and Nandini became proud parents again of another baby boy whom the named Mohit after his father.

After a few years later, Ashish and Nandini  became the IT couple and one of the most wealthy family in India.

He never told Nandini about Miranda and their child out of fear of losing her especially after he realised what he felt for Miranda wasn't love but lust.

Durga was a quiet and reserved but extremely intelligent like his mother and his father was his idol and mentor , on the other hand Mohit the mamma's boy was intelligent but stubborn, adventurous and a rebel but a good boy.
