Beck: whenever you and Beck stay at each other's places overnight, you immediately assume the role of little spoon in bed. Beck loves to feel like he's protecting you, and you don't argue because you enjoy feeling his sinewy arms around your waist and his warm breath on your neck - that, and of course the automatic hard-on he gets every time you ~accidentally~ wiggle your butt 😉

Tori: you are not comfortable sleeping in any position except on your stomach with you head turned to the right and nobody in your personal space. So, naturally, Tori takes this personally and sulks each night you're over curled up in a ball watching you stock still on the bed. The morning after she always tries to guilt trip you into cuddling with her next night but you never give in, because you love your girlfriend, but by God you love yourself and your comfortable sleeping habits more.

Robbie: the first time you went on a sleepover with Robbie, even though you were 13 you had to call your mother to drive you home. At night he was even more odd and spooky: he made you sleep on the floor on an airbed because the other half of the bed was reserved for his puppet that seemed to talk by itself; he snored in a way that reminded you of Jabba The Hutt; every so often he woke up and screamed about his puppet and milk then went back to sleep like he had never been awake. All of these freaky occurrences summed up to you phoning your mother in the middle of the night shakily asking for you to be picked up. The next morning when Robbie woke up he didn't understand why you were gone - when he asked you at school you lied to save his feelings and told him you'd gotten homesick. Three years on and he still doesn't know.

Cat: soon after you had gone to that frankly traumatizing sleepover at Robbie's, you had gone to Cat's house for the night. It was less terrifying than your stay with Robbie but it was still disconcerting that you walked into her house to immediately see her brother getting chased by a 'special doctor' and woke up next to Cat who was upside down doing a handstand on the bed fully asleep. You managed to get through this one - but you didn't do it again.

Jade: once you and Jade have been going out for a few months, she lets you in on a deadly quiet secret - she loves to be the little spoon. You're supremely delighted and that very night coerce her into a spoon with your arms wrapped gleefully round her shoulder and waist. She wriggles around for a while, complaining about your smelly socks and your loud breath, but gradually she sniffles softly and drifts off to sleep. You watch her shoulders sink into the mattress as she makes adorable tiny snores, and sigh contentedly; this is a secret worth keeping.

André: at countless sleepovers with the gang you've always noticed that your friend André sleeps away from everyone else - not far enough away that other people would get suspicious, but far enough that it caught your detail-oriented eye. In the middle of the night when everybody is asleep you crawl out of your sleeping bag and over to André's sleeping bag. You hear him snuffling like a truffle-hunter and peer over his side. He seems to be clutching something to his chest, but you can't get a proper look at it. You try to lean over him as gracefully as possible to avoid waking him, but fail nonetheless as you lose your balance and crash onto him with your arms waving madly. André immediately wakes up, sees you, widens his eyes and pushes whatever he was holding far down into his sleeping bag. He puts a finger to his lips to motion for you to shush and you do so, but hiss to him quietly that you demand to know why he always lies further away from you all. André realises after a couple seconds that you can't be swayed, and slowly fishes out of his sleeping bag... a teddy bear. You open your mouth in soft surprise, and André pulls it into his chest again in defense. He doesn't think you'll understand - you're too cool to get why he feels he needs Paddington Bear in unknown places - but you slowly smile at him and ask quietly to hold him. Surprised, he agrees, and reluctantly holds Paddington out to you. You gently take it, knowing that you need to be careful with this precious bear, and cuddle it briefly and smile childishly at André who grins back. Finally, he thinks, somebody who doesn't judge him for wanting to hold something at night.
