Nights Together

Cat: you bring a picnic and a blanket to her window, and invite her on a late night stargazing dinner. You lie next to each other on the scratchy yet fuzzy blanket and point out shapes the stars make and eat cake and raisins until she falls asleep next to you, causing you to smile sweetly at her and hold and carry her in your arms to lie in the back seat of your car to sleep.

André: he phones you at midnight telling you he's outside your house and to come outside and bring some chocolate. You do so and go into your back garden to see André sitting on your garden table balancing an acoustic guitar on his left knee. He apologises for doing this now but he can't get to sleep because he keeps thinking about you which makes him go all 'willy wonky,' and then he starts to play you a song he's been secretly writing to you in his class. You gasp a little and walk over to the table where you sit next to him, and you gaze into each other's eyes as he softly sings to you, his fingers never missing a chord. This is how the sun rises to meet the both of you - staring at each other and getting lost in your silent emotions.

Beck: he's round your house helping you with coursework, and you find this one piece so difficult that it takes you until past 3am to get halfway through it. By this time you're dropping off between words so Beck, who has previously been propped up on your couch reading and checking you're okay, insists you go to bed. You counter sleepily yet angrily, sounding like how an annoyed cat would if they could speak English, and Beck doesn't reply and instead scoops you up and brings you to your bed. You moan that you're still fully clothed and he's still here so you can't sleep even if you wanted to, and Beck counters - much firmer than you sounded - that your clothes are comfortable anyway because they're your old sweats you use to study in and that he would let himself out. And, struggling to keep your eyelids from lowering and forgetting your train of thought, who are you to argue? After he strokes your hair and kisses your cheek you immediately drop off, dead to the world, and he smiles fondly at you and quietly lets himself out.

Tori: hot chocolate whilst watching really odd TV shows. You always originally mean to pop round for a cup of her amazing hot chocolate then watch maybe one episode of something on the telly and go home, but you always get sucked into whatever show it is then you make Tori watch it when she comes back with your hot chocolates, then she gets obsessed too. When you finally re-emerge into the real world, it's usually round 3am, making it impossible for you to go home so Tori just lets you kip on the sofa with the old blanket over you.

Robbie: he's scared of inviting you round to sleep over but you wrangle your way in anyway, and are unnerved to see Rex propped up against the pillows and spread halfway across his entire bed, which isn't that large to begin with. He shrugs weakly and insists he has no control over his puppet and that he is more Rex's puppet than the other way round, so to calm his nerves you offer to sleep on the floor of his room so Rex can have his space, and if Robbie has that weird dream about kids eating Cat or Rex pouring milk all over him again you can wake him up and comfort him. Unsurprisingly, the worried weakling agrees.

Jade: she lets herself into your place with the spare key she knows is under your doormat - rookie mistake, she informs you cynically - and wakes you up by smacking you with a cushion and pulls you outside. She continues to pull you by your arm until you follow her to the local graveyard, then invites you to have sex on your mother's grave like Mary Shelley did. You are naturally shocked by the offer and deny vehemently, saying you do not play like that and if she doesn't like it maybe she can go back to her old boyfriend Beck, so after a while she relents and suggests you can just have sex in someone's open garage. That's more your taste, so you gratefully accept the offer then link arms with Jade to go find an unlocked garage door.
