The only reason why Mexicans are lazy stereotype became a thing was because every time the other nations would see him at meetings, he is always sleeping and sluggish as he refuses to do some work. America was the one that started the stereotype because he thought it was disrespectful that he was slacking on the job to try and fix world problems.
It wasn't till a few of the countries visited Mexico to get statistics of labor and found Mexico at work in completely different areas like farmlands, paperwork, and research. Not only that but he also helps volunteer and works for others like a street vendor. He barely gets days off and refuses to. That is why when he is done he takes the time to get a little bit of time to sleep which is why he is always tired.
As of today, America is a little upset with himself for starting that stereotype now that he knows why Mexico is so sluggish and sleepy all the time. Now most of the countries cut him slack but Mexico still overworks himself.
