Spain raised Mexico to be a good little Catholic boy. Mexico outright rejected his ways because it represented Spain and he wanted nothing to do with the Spaniards and their customs. Because Spain was a strict parent towards Mexico since Mexico was his moneymaker he didn't really listen to Mexico and still taught him the Catholic ways. Mexico always hated the lessons as he found them boring and confusing.
Now to this day, Mexico doesn't care for it but when something bad happens to the world or within his own country, he gets down on his knees and prays for his dear life.
