A lot of the countries mistake Mexico's birthday thinking that it is on the 5th of May. Mexico finds this very annoying as May 5th is just a battle he won against France.
He still appreciates that he won the battle but he doesn't celebrate it like America does and it is most certainly not his birthday.
He tries to make it very clear that his birthday is on September 16th. Most of the countries get the message (all of Latin America, Spain, France, Britain, Canada, Japan, etc.). However there are a few who believe Mexico's birthday is on the 5th of May (America, Russia, Veneziano, Austria, etc.).
He will hit you or if you're lucky scold you and lecture that his birthday is on September 16th and not May 5th.
