Chapter 15. A New Pet and Christmas Decorating

The Next Day...

Naruto's POV

8:46 a.m.

Those guys...they are so mean! Leaving so many marks and bites on my neck! I had to wear a scarf today!

I grabbed a pink turtle neck long sleeve, a purple long cardigan, black ripped jeans and a checkered scarf. I wore them on and walked downstairs.

As soon I saw the boys, I pouted and folded my arms.

"I hate you guys so much!" I used my scarf to cover my neck entirely and blushed.

Gaara took my hand and dragged me to the table. He made me sit down and placed a bowl of ramen in front of me.

"Sorry Naru...We made this ramen for you, so please don't be angry..." Gaara looked at me with sad eyes.

I glanced at the others, only to find that they were also worried about me. I'm mad that they know how to make me happy and now I don't feel angry anymore. I sighed and picked up the chopsticks.

"Geez, you guys really know me. Okay I'm not mad. Come on, sit down and eat!"

'Lol. It worked.' The boys chuckled inside themselves and also sat down.

We are going to meet Akatsuki in front of the school entrance at 9:30 am. They already booked a large van for seventeen of us.

After breakfast, we walked over to the entrance. I walked beside Shino, the two of us attracted birds and butterflies, some squirrels ran beside us, making the scene magical. A small yellow fluffy baby parrot nested itself on my head and a blue hinted with pink butterfly landed on Shino's shoulder, they refused to leave even we tried to make them leave many times.

"What should we do with these cuties?" I giggled as I looked at Shino.

"Well, since they don't want to leave us, let them stay until they want to leave." Shino touched the butterfly's wings gently, it responded by fluttering its wings.

I nodded and held out a finger to the parrot. I couldn't see it but I felt it poked my finger with its beak and used its body to rub against my finger.

We let them do what they want and continued heading to the entrance. The Akatsuki members waved at us.

They saw the baby parrot on my head and was surprised.

"I know Shino attracts insects but Naru, you attract animals?" Itachi used his finger to soothe the bird's feathers. It chirped at him.

"Yea! I don't know why but animals likes to surround me." I replied.

Everyone got into the van and it started driving to the city centre.

Neji stared at the bird on my head. I noticed and turned to him.

"Neji kun, do you want to touch it?"

Neji nodded. I cupped the parrot and put it on Neji's hand. The parrot snuggled and its head tilted to stare at Neji.

"Cute..." Neji touched its head and brushed its feathers. It seems the parrot liked his touch.

"It likes you Neji kun!" I looked at him and smiled brightly.

Neji blushed a bit and said, "It looks like you, a little fluff ball of sunshine. I'm going to call it Taiyou (Sun)."

The parrot chirped and fluttered its wings as if it liked the name.

"Taiyou! That's a good name." I beamed at him.

I rested my head on Neji's shoulders and played with Taiyou using my fingers. After some time, I felt sleepy and slept. Taiyou was exhausted after playing and nested on my head.
