Chapter Two
XiaoBai

I went over my plan with Yang Yang and I went home to prepare for the night, my parents were waiting for me outside when I got home. They had prepared themselves for the worst but instead of picking a fight I chose to say nothing, I greeted them and went inside I had a two jugs of wine. I feel nervous although I have no reason too, I mean the worst thing that could happen is him embarassing me, I drank my wine quietly neither of my parents or uncle tried to approach me. I dressed in a light purple robe, tied my hair in a messy bun and I went back to heaven to find Yang Yang waiting for me. "Are you ready?" He seemed more nervous then I was he snuck me in to the imperial kitchen as I made the king's favourite dish and made some cakes, when I was finished Yang Yang came to get me and took me to the king's lotus garden, this is my favourite place in the whole of heaven. The sun was getting ready to set and the clouds were slowly giving way to the night sky, I prepared the garden and everything for the king and I waited patiently after awhile he came to the garden blind folded as planned but you could tell by his murderous aura that he didn't do it willingly, Yang Yang sat him down and scurried away before mouthing "goodluck."  I took out the zither and started to play a sweet melody to ease his aura or maybe to ease my heart that was threatening to come out of my mouth. "Who are you?" He asked in his stone cold voice but I was un-bothered by it, instead I cast some magic to the zither so it can play on it's own while I danced, the sun had completely gone down and now we were graced by the presence of the moon and stars. I flicked my hand and his blindfold slithered down slowly from his face landing softly into his knee, his eyes were staring at me and I couldn't take my eyes off him. I started dancing as the zither played the song of my heart, his eyes never looked away or blinked and I too didn't take my eyes off him too as the song came to an end I could feel something very wrong in the air and soon two daggers came flying, towards his majesty and I shielded him with my body the daggers piercing my shoulders. I stumbled a bit but quickly removed them without making a sound, I used a temporary cover spell to cover the wounds I served the food I had made and the cakes. "Your majesty I wanted to do something for you since you saved me from the snake pit, since you lacked nothing I thought that maybe this would do." I could feel the numbness settling it's self, "Are you okay?" He asked in an indifferent tone, I smiled at him and told him I was fine. The moonlight was shinning brightly and beautifully in the sky but the beauty of the man, I was watching right now was putting it to shame. After he finished eating he left, I stood there like an idiot until the piercing pain reminded me that I'm hurt, I packed up everything and went back home. Luckily my parents where nowhere in the fox cave, I uncovered the spell and looked at the nasty wound my shoulder bared soon I realised that, the daggers had been poisonous the purple lines running on my shoulder and arms were the proof I felt weak instantly. I tried to get the poison out of my system and cleaned my wound when I thought it was safe enough to consult my uncle, I went to him and found him brewing peach mine. "You're just in time to try my wine." Heaven wasn't on my side because soon I had fainted with a loud thud.

When I woke up I heard hushed voices speaking, I tried sitting up but I did it quickly and the room started spinning. "You're awake." I heard my mother's worried voice before I could see her face then she ran into the room and embraced me, dad and uncle followed behind her. " Do you feel any discomfort?" My father asked and I shook my head in reality I was in pain but I didn't want them to know. "You should be careful next time." Mother lightly scolds and I looked at her dumbly then she laughed lightly. "Zhe Yan told us that you practicing sword magic and you accidentally stabbed yourself on your shoulder." I looked at my uncle then back at mom. " I was really careless I'm sorry." She smiled at me, "No worries you're okay that's all that matters, your uncle wants you to stay with him for awhile." I nearly jumped for joy as I heard that, I really didn't want to go back home just yet. " I would love too." My parents seemed taken aback but soon uncle chased them away. "You know...you shouldn't scare me like that." I smiled sheepishly at him, he came and sat next to me on the bed. " Next time come to me before you attempt healing yourself." Oh busted! This can't be good, my uncle looked worried so I tried to ease his worries. " I won't put myself in danger." He snorted but still smiled. " I managed to clean your wound properly but I couldn't get rid of the poison completely, it's something you'll live with from now on." He took a deep breath and continued, "the poison is very toxic but with the medicine I made you it can suppress it but you cannot stop taking it otherwise you will die. Where did you get this poison from? Anyway it doesn't matter and you can't fight anymore." He then got up and left me, this is not so bad I really didn't expect the poison to be out of my system, luckily I took the blow and his majesty is okay I think I could live with this. I got up from the bed and went outside to find uncle sitting with Yang Yang and both of them glaring at me, the clouds were dark and threatening heavy rain was coming out way maybe with some lightening. Uncle left Yang Yang and me alone to talk. "Bai Fengjiu are you stupid? Or do you have a death wish." Yang Yang fumed and I burst out laughing and for a moment he paused looking at me like I had lost my mind. " What are you fuming about?" I asked him now he looked irritated. " Your uncle told me what happened and I'm going to tell his majesty." At hearing his name I glared at Yang Yang and the irritation on his face disappeared. " You are not telling him anything." Anger crossed his face. "Of course I am, you got hurt and he didn't even notice!" He shouted at me. " Oh yeah? Are you ready to tell him how you know I got hurt when I was with him? Are you really going to get yourself punished? If he finds out you helped, you're dead meat so keep your mouth shut." I said calmly, he already looked defeated. "But..." I shook my head. " No buts... I got hurt ye but it's something I can live with, Zhe Yan made me some medicine as long as I take it I will be fine." Finally he nodded his head. " I have to go now, you must visit me when you're feeling better." I nodded happily as he cloud jumped to heaven, the one thing I absolutely love about my uncle is he never asks or says anything unless you want to tell him something. The angry sounds of the lighting roared and specks of orange flew around startling me, " Oh this isn't right." My uncle stated as he looked outside. " What do you mean?" Just then Yang Yang came down. " High god Zhe Yan we need your help." He looked so calm but when he looked at me his were full of panic DijunI didn't even wait as I flew to heaven and when I got there I was out of breath, I really need to learn how to cloud jump. I run towards the orange flying specks and see his majesty fighting with the ghost king, it seemed the ghost clan had planned to attack heaven by surprise but obviously no one could down his majesty, the rest of the ghost soldiers lay on the floor unconscious,  his majesty looked tired his purple robe was covered in blood, his robe was crimson and purple they were fighting up high in the clouds, while the rest of the high gods watched. He had a shield put in place so that the heaven is unharmed but putting up the shield and fighting at the same time, was taking its toll on him the shield was close to breaking. One of the high gods suggested that everyone use their powers to keep the shield in place, as they did that the ghost king released some black substance that went straight to his Majesty's heart causing him to spit out blood then I saw that dagger again, my uncle called my name but I was already gone up the sky. His majesty was unaware he was still trying to recover, I broke into the shield without completely breaking it and I hugged his majesty as the dagger pierced me on my lower back, it seemed that time had stopped the world had stopped even the fight as he held me in his arms with a troubled but horrified look.
